Thornton first proposal to Margaret was pure love, you just wanted to protect him. Darcy first proposal for Elizabeth was all pride, you wanted to kick his ass. Thornton didn't have to change much as much as Darcy did, compared to Darcy he is a real softy. Darcy is my first love, but Thornton is my sentimental favourite, he suffered a lot, a true hero he rose from the ashes.

Both Elizabeth and Margaret are beautifully written female characters even when they are being unfair you understand their perspectives.

True that!! Thornton foolish passion for Ms.Hale was incredible to watch it unfold. He enters her world as the devil. She’s describing hell when she’s sees him. He’s all haughty and looking down on his workers when she looks up at that. And she’s biased from that moment.

Even with the entire workers vs masters argument you are unsure who is right. I loved Margaret’s innocence and the last scene when she says- it’s a business transaction- I can so imagine Yumna performing that.

If you look back at 1995 production of P&P would it still work today? Audience has no patience these days everyone wants quick rewards TV. No one waits for build up anymore with this binge watch culture.

Did you ever find it curious why people like Downton Abbey so much when the writing in that show was sub par. It had 2 or 3 good seasons that is it. The last couple of seasons my god what trash.
