These two incidents aren't the only ones where I thought that he should have thought twice before uttering something so controversial that it would be rehashed over and over again...even more than 10 years later.

But that's him...far from ALWAYS being political correct, right? And in no way he wants to be seen as a role model (he even insisted on that).

So, as for me, it is of no importance if I like everything he does (which obviously I don't)...that doesn't influence the affection I have for him.

Me too, I do things other people don't like...and still they love me...I find this great :)
