Part 2

Maa Begum told Meerub to show Rohail his room which she did and told him that she would meet him later and Rohail nods his head at this as he has a surprise for her and he needs time to make sure nothing went out of Hands, After Meerub left he called someone to deliver his parcel at Khan Mansion as soon as possible.

As soon as she dropped Rohail in guest room she went into search of Murtasim, his fallen expressions when Rohail called him her cousin didn’t go unnoticed by her and she doesn’t know why it is hurting her this much. She needs to talk with him, she needs to explain that she can’t tell Rohail all of a sudden that she is married. He has been his best friends since years and he will be so hurt if he comes to know that Meerub didn’t tell him about the one of the important events of her life, she didn’t get a chance to talk to him amidst all the happenings and she will explain it to him in a way she thinks fit and till then he needs to tolerate this as she can’t hurt her friend but she can’t hurt Murtasim as well so she would ask him to understand her. She searched every corner of the house but did not find him anywhere so she called him but his phone is unreachable as well.

Murtasim went outside as soon as he saw Meerub agreeing with her friend that he is only her cousin, a cousin? Does this marriage means nothing to her, their moments hold no value in her eyes, does she still think she of him as his biggest enemy, or does she still hate him that’s why she is ashamed to introduce him to her friends as her husband or she wants to leave him that’s why she is not telling them the truth cause if she broke their marriage then their won’t be any relations left between them except the familial connection. All these thoughts are giving him headache as well as a heartache. He called Anwar to go for the tour so he can keep himself busy.

“Tum thik ho”, [Are you okay] Anwar asked Murtasim after seeing his face and his grip on the steering wheel.

“Hmm”, Murtasim hummed not interested in having any conversation with anyone.

“Murtasim…”, Anwar called him when his phone rang and he got happy after seeing Meerub’s call.

“Kya woh aapke sath hai”, [He is with you?] Meerub asked her father as Murtasim told her before Rohail came that he will go with Anwar on a tour of villages.

“Haan”, [Yes] Anwar confirmed and Meerub cut the call after knowing that he is not alone. Anwar felt sad with her behaviour as he thought she has called to know about him.

Murtasim stopped the car and went out to talk with his people, to survey his land. All this work will be enough to keep him busy until evening and with this thought he started his work but even after being so busy his mind was getting distracted at every chance it got. He has a fear that Meerub will leave him and this fear made him realise that she is very important for him and he can’t loose her.

Meerub was preparing Murtasim’s favourite Biryani as she knew that he would be angry about the morning incident and she doesn’t want any anger or misunderstanding between them so she will have a talk with him during dinner which she has arranged in their room so no third person. Murtasim neither caller nor answered her calls entire day and this made her realise that he is more important to her than any friend and she won’t make him upset for anyone. She was almost done with her arrangements when she got Rohail’s call and she went to see what does he want now, he was irritating her since the morning for small-small things and this getting too far now, she understood that he doesn’t know the way around and how the things work but he can call a maid for the glass of water or to find a tv remote but no he even called her to know about how the taps work here it was not like he is seeing these taps for the first time but the question is why he is doing this.

“Rohail”, Meerub knocked on the door after reaching there but no one responded and she was about to go when she got his text to come inside.

“Weird”, she mumbled irritatedly but nonetheless went inside to check what he wants now. She has already explained about her marriage to him in the morning after she came to know that Murtasim is okay and with Anwar so she directly went to Rohail to explain about her situation and she was happy that he understood without making any scene.

“Rohail lights kyun off hai”, [why lights are off] She asked Rohail when she was welcomed with darkness.

“Wait a Minute, Meerub”, Rohail’s voice reached her ears and a second later she find the room filled with lights but what shocked her was the decoration, there was a table with food and candles, rose petals all over the rooms and Bouquet in Rohail’s hands.

“Rohail, yeh sab kya hai?”, [What’s all this] Meerub questioned in a stern tone not liking the fact where all this is going.

“Wohi jiske liye mai aaya hoon”, [The same thing for which I am here] Rohail said with a broad smile over his face which was enough to make Meerub nervous.

“Matlab”, [Means] Meerub asked him to say clearly what he wants to say so she can go from here as Murtasim will be coming home soon and she doesn’t want anyone to ruin her plans.

Rohail reached to her and tries to hand her the bouquet he was holding but she didn’t take it so he placed it on the table and went to show her the main surprise. Meerub looked at him when he removed the cloth from the Board kind of thing and was shocked to her photos and this made her realised his creepiness so she took 2-3 steps back.

“Yeh kya hai”, [what is this] Meerub questioned him in a firm tone.

“Meri Deewangi”, [My craziness] Rohail announced thinking Meerub is impressed with him after seeing his hard work.

“Rohail, tum paagal ho gaye ho?”, [Have you gone mad] Meerub asked in anger.

“Haan, Meerub mai tumhare pyaar mein pagal ho gaya hoon, yeh dekho meri deewangi ki had mai tumhare liye uss paagal khan ke ghar tak aa gaya hoon”, [Yes Meerub, I am mad in your love, for you I have crossed all the limits and reached at that mental khan’s house] Rohail confessed shocking Meerub but this made Murtasim angry who was standing at the door, he came there in the search of Meerub and couldn’t leave after seeing her with Rohail and all the decorations. He was waiting for Meerub’s response to Rohail and after that he will show this crackhead what happens to those who dares to cross him.

“Rohail kya bakwas kar rahe ho, pata hai na Meri shaadi ho chuki hai”, [What Rubbish are you talking? You know that I am married] Meerub said giving the extra pressure on the word married, he is her friend at the end of the day who was with her for many years so she doesn’t want to handle it in anger but what she said was enough to relieve Murtasim from his fear which was making him crazy throughout the day.

“Mujhe pata hai Meerub par mai jaanta hoon ki tum khush nahi ho iss shaadi se”, [I know Meerub and I know this as well that you are not happy in this marriage] Rohail said inviting Murtasim’s anger who was a second away to punch this psycho but waited for his wife to handle this.

“Mai khush hoon Rohail, Hum khush hain iss shaadi se”, [I am happy Rohail, we are happy with this marriage] She told Rohail explaining that it doesn’t matter how they reached here because they are happy where they have reached and this indeed made Murtasim happy to know that his wife is happy and he will do everything in his power to keep her always happy.

“Nahi Meerub tum khush nahi ho aur na hi Murtasim. Tum kaise keh sakti ho ki woh khush hai”, [No Meerub, neither you nor Murtasim is happy. How can you say this] Rohail tried to make her understand that she and Murtasim both are unhappy and this time Murtasim could not control himself and barged in the room how dare he say this that he is not happy when he has never been this much contented in his whole life.

“Kyunki woh Murtasim khan ki biwi aur yeh use nahi pata hoga toh kise pata hoga”, [Because she is Murtasim khan’s wife and who would know this except her] Murtasim answered Rohail before Meerub could overthink and assume he is not happy, he came and stood beside his Meerub giving angry looks to Rohail.

“Ab chale”, [ Let’s go?] Murtasim asked his wife ignoring Rohail who was about to open his stupid mouth. Meerub looks at him and nodded feeling happy that he is not angry anymore, she was shocked after seeing him here and thought he would misunderstand her. Both turned to go to their room while Rohail was looking angrily at Murtasim when Murtasim’s eyes fell on the whiteboard, he reached their and plucked out Meerub’s picture then looked here and there in the room to find something and his eyes fell on the lamp, he poured the oil on the board and then burned the board with the help of candle, Meerub smiled at his actions while Rohail marched towards him in anger and Murtasim punched him on his face which made Rohail faints.

“Ab chale maine Biryani banai hai”, [let’s go now, I have made Biryani] Meerub holds Murtasim’s hand after reaching to him who nodded at his wife excitedly as she has made Biryani for him, and they both went out of Rohail’s room to have their dinner.
