The character of Meerab always falls short in expressing her feelings in a way that an ambitious, independent and educated girl as she is supposed to be, does. She is emotional, contemplative and then angry…which is the sign of a problematic personality.

- in the scene with Murtasim, she says her real father has said you can kill and he says I hope you don’t do anything that will drive me to kill. Her immediate response is I am not scared of you. The contemplative Meerab is lost in this dialogue.

- in the scene with her mother, while she was excellent is tearing up while talking of how she feels like she is unwanted by her parents. Her inability to react with her mother’s statement regarding how they were unable to save her from this family is confusing. The very next scene she taunts her parents as being an unwanted guest. So what effect has the dialogues from her mother had on her? Again here the contemplative Meerab has reacted with anger.

- in the scene with Rohail, AFTER having seen his love-psycho board, any educated girl will see it as a red flag. She won’t be hanging around and listening to his suggestions on how to get out of marriage, if anything she would leave immediately. Just imagine the scene without the existence of the psycho board, it actually would have made us feel for Meerab… because Rohail was saying things that we were thinking from her perspective, it would have built her case very well.

BUT

the fact that we get a contemplative Meerab - the dialogue “kya soch rahi ho Meerab” has happened so many times in the show by Murtasim himself, and the cumulative has always been an angry or a dismissive dialogue from her. This paints her as an immature person, a brat. What is the point of showing her contemplative if she is going to be a brat at the end. Is the writer trying to tell us women “overthink”?

the fact that she hung around after Rohail showing off his psycho board tells us that the writer thinks this was the only way they could have “shown” Rohail’s love or that Meerab would be convinced that Rohail loves her?! Which age is this writer from?!?! This was done to show Murtasim to be a better love than Rohail. Is the writer trying to tell us women have only these options?

I hope that YT channels never ever interview and glorify writers of shows before the show is over. Such bad writing should have never been given a platform in the first place.

I agree with each and everything but meerab's justification is just that she was forced into this marriage/ her dreams /career/parents ditched her .

But where have we seen all this from her pov?

Writer wants to show she is confused and thus indecisive

But here she is potrayed just as a 'brat' and nothing else. I can't feel for her.

Meerab had no option other than to marry Murtasim. She was forced. She didn't lure Murtasim to marry him. Murtasim was always the powerful person when the relationship began.

@Yellow: She wasn't even missing for a day and the whole family thought she ran away and went crazy by calling her. That's not call giving freedom to some adullt, according to me.

Okay there is a difference between ruhail commiting suicide becoz of her and one one person was comstantly being in failed relationship.

And yes she did manipulated him in marrying her by her dialogues indicating for same.

He was always powerful person no doubt but she get to knew that he is sensitive when he cared for her so she used that.

And I also said that it was murtasim's mistake to agree upon marrying her.

She always used him for protection,for getting a home.

She always did without giving even one percent from her side and in a relationship it can drive a person to that level of frustration where they are forced to do things like suicide and thats how it is different than ruhail commiting suicide

And lastly yes I agree she was not disappeared for a day but in many cases your loved ones get scared even if you left home for 5 minutes and are not approachable or especially when they are calling you and your phone gets cut and than they are not able to get through you wwhich happened here.

So thats not taking freedom for me again I"ll say.

I am happy for this blessing which I've in name of family although it bounds me where I've to inform my whereabouts becoz someone at home cares for me,and tensed for me when unable to reach me.
