A much needed conversation between Teji and Viaan took place today , here are some of my thoughts on it. An attempt to increase activity here !!

Viaan's loneliness and his inability to express his true emotions to his mother were so easily caught by Katha and she asked Teji a very important question. What she can see , can't that mother see in her son? Mrs Raghuvanshi kya aapko sach mein apne bete ka dard dikhayi nahi deta

She made her think what she must have seen all through these years but never had courage to face it. Her love for her husband has made her so blind that she forgot her child suffered a heavy price for it. Now a stranger to them tells her that she sees that pain ,can't she and she is speechless.

She is recalling his childhood, all the times that she has made him feel lonely, all the time she was not there for her son but he never complained. He calms her down and asks her to forget the past and move past the mistake. Jo beet gayi woh baat gayi. Till when will they take this past and keep ruining their present and future for it. Both of them have to make a new start for them and their relation. Of what they lost with each other in past , he tells his mom to never look back into those and feels guilty for it. Now he knows what feeling guilty means.

What followed this beautiful scene was a regular scene at breakfast where Viaan is again hiding his emotions as his mother asks him to express, maybe she has lost that connection with him where he can express these emotions so freely. Now he is no longer a lost child but a grown-up man who knows how to keep emotions inside and keep up with smiling face for the one he loves.

And Viaan showing up for Aarav just showed how he wants that kid to know that he is not alone at all. What he has felt in his growing years, he does not want Aarav to feel that way.

Good points..what I liked about the scene is Viaan comforted his mother..forgave his mother but he did not brush aside the fact that he missed her while growing up..he actually confirmed what Katha hinted to Teji...Don't know whether this will earn brownie points for Katha from Teji and she will start accepting Katha...i read somewhere that in the original the mother doesn't approve the relation initially but later agrees for her son's happiness

Teji might forgive Katha for that AV after today's scene but accepting her as daughter in law would still be difficult for her since she is an employee in earthcon and Teji is status conscious.

Viaan and his mum always had that bonding where they could speak freely which I think these we don’t have that with our parents

I’m loving how thy showing everything getting fix slowly bit by bit because of the case

Lovely post :) This scene was indeed the highlight of today's episode. You have analyzed the mother-son dynamics beautifully.

I'm not sure what suddenly clicked for Teji that Viaan also hasn't said to her many times before regarding her obsession with propping up her cheater husband rather than being there for her son....maybe Katha managed to put it in such a manner that it got through to Teji (after all Katha gyaan is usually the param satya of this show😆). But regardless of how it happened, it was nice to see Teji having a little moment of regret and realization there that she was busy making everything about her husband rather than being there for her son.

The part that touched me the most in this scene was Viaan's immense capacity to love even when he felt abandoned and alone. The way he spoke about keeping faith that his love for his mom will bring her back to him someday no matter how much she has mentally checked out from him. And then yes, it was nice how they tied Teji's regret to Viaan's regrets and the larger track right now which is all about realization, learning to forgive yourself and moving on from past traumas.

Viaan has gained an immense capacity to forgive after having gone through this turmoil of guilt and the yearning for forgiveness himself....this is why he is now quick to forgive anyone who shows up in front of him and expresses regret.

@bold: I loved how you circled that back to Aarav....yes, that is a big part of the connection Viaan feels to him - he knows what it feels like to be alone and this little kid who has managed to touch his heart like no other - he wants him to know that he means it when he says he's there for him. I just love that Viaan went to Aarav's karate competition before heading over to committee's judgement announcement. It really does show again how he puts Aarav before himself and all the problems going on in his life....that special connection comes through.

Re: the Teji-Viaan scene in the morning....I think Teji really can't change her basic nature so easily even if she feels some regret now for not being there for Viaan. I'm not sure if Viaan was trying to hide his emotions from her in the morning - it felt like he was genuinely at peace and ready to face whatever happens because his conscience was clear, his priorities were set. Like he said, no matter what, he will still have his mom with him and that was enough for him. It's more a case of Teji still not understanding that her son has very simple desires for his life....he tells her directly but it doesn't always click for her.

I think Teji will appreciate Katha for helping to acquit Viaan of these charges, but it won't take much time before she will jump back to her usual judgemental "every woman is a gold-digger out to phasaao my son" fundas😆

I think the overall execution was nicely done between Teji & Viaan. I mean Viaan opened up more easily and comfortably than what's usually been depicted so far in previous episode esp the mention of his late father and the unwarranted comparison. He felt less reclusive than when looked backed in earlier episodes.

Plus, as aforementioned in other posts, Teji opening up how she glossed over Viaan's abandonment scenario. That entire overall conversation of opening up, comprehending the blunder, and moving on from it was so well put.

Also, definitely the bonding amongst Aarav & Viaan is very meaningful. It is quite evident even when Viaan sent his friend's contact information in order for Aarav to improve his karate skills for the school tournament in today's episode.

@Bold - Yes it was quite abrupt on how Katha bring out that question to her and made her realise but yeah it was long due that woman realizes what she is making her son go through. I loved the fact that she took an introspective into her life to see that she has not been there as a mother for Viaan in his childhood.

@Blue - Yes loved how he put across his feelings too and took Teji out of that guilt too. It was quite crisp and clear. Move on from past and start afresh.

@red- He has this special connection with the boy as he sees himself in him. A fatherless child whose mother is perhaps busy in her office life and thus miss those crucial moments where he wants her to be. Viaan recognizes it and is there for him as a mentor, as a friend and perhaps as a father figure too.

@green- thats interesting take ,yes he is a simple guy and knows he can start all over again if need arise and thus is confident in himself . He just needs his mother alongside and nothing else matters.

Thanks for detailed response. Please do feel free to put your thoughts on episode in forum as topics :)

Yes there was an ease with which Viaan addressed the issue with Teji , in earlier episode his reactions when talking about his father were different, here he was more at peace with his past and thus was able to say to teji to not look at past anymore.
