I loved seeing the internal war going on within Viaan when Katha asked him about ever having offered money. Viaan is an intelligent mature guy. The question not only impacted him but Katha also. I will not delve on Katha....maybe another time. My focus is on Viaan. Sometimes I feel like clapping for Adnan. What an actor! The transition from the inner struggle to the acceptance...He had to go through this. Many of you probably do not relate with Viaan's actions but I do. Some of us need to be punished for our wrong deeds. It doesn't matter whether it was due to circumstances or any other reason but once we hold ourselves responsible, we are ready to face the music. This is Viaan Raghuvanshi. I never thought that I would love another character as much as I loved Aryan but here we are. Is it an irony that I relate more to the MLs? I love the fact that Viaan sticks to his principles....the only time he didn't was when he went through the ONS but I am expecting the writers to address this...Sometimes, no matter how perfect a person may be, he becomes human and does something which defies logic and common sense. Viaan needed Katha to be the ray of hope in his life. I like Viaan's redemption and his attitude which accepts the consequences.

Ehsan-Viaan ... no name for this ship? Today, I felt that Viaan never considered that Ehsan's feelings for Katha were genuine...otherwise he would never have been so casual about it. This bromance is en route for some major turbulence. I am up for it. Bring the conflicts without turning Ehsan into a vamp again. This Ehsan does not deserve this.

I don't know whether what I wrote made sense but I really really loved the ep, and the direction the show is taking. Katha started off as such a strong character. She is lost now. I hope that the writers focus on her also, and have a proper track for her.

Amrapali, I love the song!🤣 2 people see a situation differently. Isn't life beautiful with all our differences?😊

I have been watching the track and enjoying it to the fullest. Got really stuck with work. Today's episode was great. Katha's question, Viaan's reaction was a treat to watch.

For the first time, we are getting a real redemption of a character in ITV. That too ML. I feel blessed.

Katha, the strong multitasking woman for whom we all signed up is feeling restless and helpless, weak. And Viaan is cool and composed, ready to face punishment. I love Viaan.

Shalzie, I have fallen for another fiction show ML after Aryan. I hope they don't butcher his character like Aryan's by the end.

Khaare Raste is a bit smooth, but I love that song. I feel so sad for Katha's costumes, but I am ready to forget and forgive for the way they are telling the story and tracks are executed.

It is a redemption track for Ehsan also. I want him to stay this way only. He really love Viaan. Farah Aunty is a devil. And Teji feels she is over smart.

Precap says, Batman will save Robin. Keith will come in at the right time.

PS: I miss PapaG-MamaG. And I am bored with Meera-Yuvi drama. Meera looks like a stupid girl, Yuvi is frustrated. The biggest fool and irritating one is Reet

I hope I will be back with full analysis by next week. Financial Year end and I am stuck with some major issues

Totally echo your thoughts...we are in the minority here😊!!

I am so loving Viaan's redemption arc...infact like you I can totally identify with him and what he is going thorugh...much more than I can with Katha right now. Now I want to know and understand Katha. What does she really feel about the ONS? What does she feel for Viaan? I trust the CVs will start exploring her journey now...her innermost thoughts, her feelings, her insecurities. She is all over the place right now and I think its because she has come to care deeply for Viaan...her words about love will come true for her soon...Pyaar to bas dabe paaon aa jata hai aur dil main ghar kar jata hai' That is what I want to see now❤️

Ehsaan wants Viaan to be his best friend as long as Katha is not there in the equation, but how his character shapes up totally depends on what his real feelings around Katha are. He is a deeply insecure person so how he will react to Katha, Viaan and Aarav bonding in the future is anybody's guess.

Btw I love that song too and loved whenever it was played on them earlier. But yesterday I needed more intensity than sweet melancholy:)

But I felt she isn't that bad. It was hard for her to trust Viaan all these while. As he did offer money to her to sleep with him. How can she not doubt him, when she was a victim herself.

But with yesterday's episode, she did get to understand one thing very clearly. That Viaan is telling the truth. He openly admitted in front of the panel, that he has done it once. If he is a person who doesn't have any regret or conscience, he'd have said no I have never ever done that. But his confession about doing it once, surely strengthened Katha's belief in him.

Even though she asked him that if you have never offered something like this to anyone, she was asking it in the spur of moment. He said, I simply can't do anything like this. So obviously, she got angry and upset as she knows he offered it to her. So in the spur of the moment, it got out of her. Have you never done this before....

And when he accepted that he has done it before, that's when Katha finally could believe him that he is telling the truth now and he hasn't done this to Shamitha also. That's when she started repenting about posing that question and bringing the attention about his past in front of the panel.

Still it's all for the good, Katha's beleif in Viaan has kinda been wavering all this while. And now she has finally some belief that he is telling the truth. Let's wait and watch.

till yesterday's episode, I was more bored. I just thought the comittee as well as katha are kind of stupid. yesterday's episode really annoyed me because katha came across as subconsciously vindictive. the only grace is that this wasn't a planned move but essentially it came out of a dark place in her heart where she seriously resents and maybe hates viaan.

otherwise, why would anyone shoot themselves in the foot and endanger themselves by asking that question -- she was putting him in place.

whether she realized it or not, part of her wants him destroyed. that is how it came across. in fact, rather than protecting him, it looked like she was desperate to protect herself and hence her conversation with viaan. so it looked rather selfish.

like amra said, viaan should have given her a kick because she insisted that the night be never spoken. so she put him in a position of protecting her while destroying himself. the poor fella is so guilt ridden that he feels happy to be destroyed. I dont' know whether to sigh or facepalm at such madness.

so right now, I feel both are toxic for each other and I don't want them making googly eyes at each other. I don't buy either of them at the moment. viaan has no sense of healthy boundaries while katha acts like she is good but there is vindictive undercurrent to her and she is no good for viaan.

katha is basically annoying:

#1 she hasn't owned her anger and resentment -- I prefer villains and anti-heroes who don't pretend to be otherwise

#2 she acts like she didn't benefit from the deal. which she did.

I feel strongly the makers need to get off the subtle train and start writing internal monologues for all characters especially katha. no matter how brilliant actors are, we don't interpret body language the same way. so I get how you and others who enjoyed the episode are seeing it differently but those of us on the other side are interpreting the scenes from a different perspective. simplest solution -- makers need more dialogues.

Bold...You bring out a very interesting aspect here.

Why was Katha so distraught and so all over the place since the whole trial started. Because it opened up a pandora's box of emotions she had suppressed around the ONS and Viaan. On a superficial level she kind of accepted the apology and found an explanation for Viaan's behaviour in his troubled childhood, she also started accepting that his repentance was coming from a place of authenticity. But deep down she had simply pushed the trauma from that incident into a dark room in her subconscious mind, sealing the door firmly with no intentions of visiting it ever again. That is why the condition to Viaan that the incident shall never be brought up again. Because no matter what she claims, there is fear and shame around it.

He made an offer which she accepted to save her child, but deep down she is not comfortable with that aspect of her existence. And she blames him for putting her in that position. She resents Viaan for making that offer and going through with it when she was at her most vulnerable. Many people want her to be grateful for the fact that the money saved her son’s life and the fact that she does not have to slog to pay off the loan and so on…but the mind does not work on left brain clinical logic esp around trauma. Its not simple math...I benefited from the deal so I cannot resent it.

When the doors to that room opened up during the trial unwittingly, the scars spoke up. A part of her wants him to be answerable but another part of her knows he does not deserve punishment for that. I think she is being judged harshly because we have been witness to Viaan’s self-worth getting decimated by guilt. Viaan was ready to lose everything in his life that mattered to him…his work, his company, his reputation...basically his life... just to be able to rid himself of the heavy guilt that plagued his existence. And she witnessed it first-hand…that was a huge reality check for Katha I think. She began to realise that her holding on to the resentment and letting it fester and come forth with such vengeance was going to be the ruin of Viaan. I don’t think we are done with Katha’s acr around this…there is much more to come. She will move past this as the case gets resolved.

Just watched the latest episode, and to be honest, I didn't really dislike it or anything. Actually I thought the episode had instances of beautiful direction. But I do have so much to say that I don't know where to start!! So I'm going to list a bunch of points to explain my thoughts; sorry for being so technical 😅 :

1) Katha messed up when she asked Viaan about the ONS. Yes, no one is excusing Viaan for his actions, but it was a mutual decision to keep the ONS a private matter. But she let her emotions take over and and you could see it on her face that she messed up. And also, I'm pretty sure she was afraid for herself during Viaan's confession, so I felt that was so selfish of her.

I think so too. There is no “heat of the moment” given she and the rest of the committee is supposed to be unbiased. They are trying to uncover the truth, not put words in Viaan’s mouth. You could almost see Katha holding her breath when he answered. Yup in fear.

2) Actually, in a way I'm glad that Katha accidentally asked about the ONS, since now it's her time to feel guilty. So I was looking forward to the conversation where she says sorry to Viaan. But in turn, Viaan says sorry to her?!! Like seriously?! I wanted Viaan to be slightly disappointed with Katha, and I wanted him to maintain some silence and distance with her. That would then urge her to get closer to him. But instead, he went on and on about how what she did was right?! Not gonna lie, I was irritated with that part of the episode.

Interesting how she kept resigning when Viaan asked her a question about their night. So expecting her to resign now. It’s amazing how she does need the money, yet is so casual about quitting. Thank goodness there are not many in the world like her!

3) As if Shamita's accusation was not enough of a damage to Viaan's situation, the ONS reveal is so detrimental to him, that I just simply cannot understand how the makers will lift Viaan out of this mess. I understand that Keith's proof will solve Shamita's case, but Viaan's ONS confession is now out, and tbh this information will pour over to the office staff through gossip. That would be so shocking to everyone. How can Viaan ever escape those impacts?

The fool is calling it his redemption.

4) Okay, this might be a slightly unpopular opinion 😛 Khaare Raste is a BEAUTIFUL song; trust me, I had it on loop when I discovered it through KA. But during passionate moments when I crave some intense music, Khaare Raste is too lovely and pleasant a song to be inserted. Sometimes, I feel that KA puts such a pleasant song in intense, emotional moments, and I feel that it kind of confuses the mood.

5) Here's a fact: the writers don't know what to do with Ehsan's character. He was such a cheerful friend to Viaan in the beginning, and then he turned to a complete villain, and now he's back to being a Viaan's best friend?! I can't believe that the Ehsan we saw today (who said there is no Earthcon without Viaan) was the same one who drugged, manipulated, and gaslighted Viaan.

So glad you brought up Eshan. Have you noticed how he is staying away from the office and the women? 😂😂

Okay guys, thank you for coming to my TED talk 😂 Feel free to reply about what you think!!

smriti -- am okay with her resenting and hating him or being all over the place if that is how she feels. what I don't like is the makers want us to guess and think -- what is coming across is not enough continunity and lapses in logic.

if you are going to be showing us such a confused character, then we need to have the corresponding internal monologues that show her vacillating between feeling it is okay and feeling anger impulses. a simple technique is talking to the wall or the window where they are muttering all sorts of things -- that itself will get you to sympathize how difficult it is.

the reason people sympathize with viaan is he has been getting all of the internal monologues and we are seeing his internal highs and lows. so we understand where he is coming from and what drives him -- regardless of whether or not we agree with him.

with katha -- zero internal monologues. these committee proceedings were a perfect opportunity to showcase and we haven't gotten how she has processed and what she feels.

so that means we describe the character based on our impressions of the scenes and our interpretation of the body language. that is why there is a kind of whiplash when it comes to katha. 🤷

Gosh mango, that is a lot of frustration! It helps to remind ourselves multiple times that if everyone was sensible then there would be no story! See, they have to ignore everything Viaan has submitted, otherwise they will doubt Shamita and the inquiry will be over in half a day. What to do with rest of the week then? Fillers?

kekekek...yea, those scenes rubbed me off in the wrong way.

like I mentioned in another post to smriti -- we should have gotten internal monologues to develop the character of katha into more a full rounded person. so the makers missed in making this arc dynamic and vibrant. mostly snoozefest punctuated with stupidity and then random vindictiveness. such a whiplash reaction from me! smiley36

Well said. If only clear thinking prevailed… it’s not as much what Katha is going through as it is the loosely put together narrative around why she accepted the offer. That part makes no sense.
Also, with most people irrespective of their gender, when they “feel” victimized, as part of protecting themselves, there is this attitude that comes up. Can be extremely hard for people living/working with them to deal with. It impacts others tremendously. That is why trauma is generational as well. So with that in mind, I am a strong believer that one should reach out for help and stop internalizing. Yes, Katha did go through trauma (having a child with cancer, losing her husband, trying to meet ends meet, fear of losing her child and hence the connection with her husband, not being able to get the loan approved), unfortunately, she didn’t go about asking for help at work in the way it usually is done. By blaming and hating Viaan, she cannot undo her actions. To understand all of this, she needs help. That’s probably the grouse with this story…
