I am not able to buy Vidhi’s reaction - because even in the past for eg: when dev was rude with HP to try and get vidhi to back away from him; she saw through his intentions.Trust is the one thing in marriage/in any relationship which is non negotiable - the minute trust shakes, the relationship is on choppy grounds. It takes a whole lot of maturity and understanding to forgive a person for lack of trust.
Dev cannot carry the entire weight of the relationship on his shoulders, it has to be a mutual effort. Dev of course with more worldly experience can be a little more mature, but he can’t be that way all the time. He’s not god.
The other reason - and of course we have to see how this plays out on TV - is that vidhi not once has stood up for Dev in front of her parents. Being a good daughter doesn’t mean you let your parents say whatever crap they want. If they had showed(or show) vidhi to even try and stop her parents’ verbal onslaught on dev- I would be like ok this track shows some growth on Vidhi’s behalf, but it doesn’t seem like we’ll get even that.
What is most irritating - is that it takes Yamini’s character certificate for everyone to gain their trust back with dev. Really? Here is a guy who has moved mountains for you and your family - and that was not enough?
@green - i hope they address this. Dev and Vidhi need to have serious discussions about laying ground rules for marriage when crisis occurs no matter what. I think from a third person perspective, when i was watching the show i felt they declared their love, dealt with family reactions and jumped into marriage. Whereas there was no development in getting to know each other so maybe they are going through that now
@blue - This is totally agree!!! Vidhi can be a very caring daughter but she needs to stand up for Dev at her home. If Dev can call out mousiji and priya for unacceptable behaviour then so can Vidhi
Overall if Dev and Vidhi actually address trust issues and vidhi thinks about protecting Dev too, it will actually make me happy cause it will show progress in their relationship as a couple.
I dont think Sharma family has ever respected Dev the way he deserves it! Sharma family has always benefitted from Dev in every way but they never reciprocate. Isse behtar to Amba hai. I was personally very happy when Amba called out HP and Bimla for slapping Dev. HP had crossed a line big time
