Friends, college, environment play a big role in how a person develops. We read so much, see so much..we know what happens in any part of the world.

What Meerab does or doesn't do can also be a consequence of what's happened with her in these past few months. She didn't do law, got married, got kidnapped, got into an accident, has a psychotic person living in her house..phew! That's a lot for any person.

And even Murtasim is his own person. His actions, words etc cannot be attributed to Tarbiyat. He is a grown man who has seen life, met people, had his fair share of learning by becoming a leader.

The power that Maa Begum tries to exert is ridiculous. Getting them married as per her whim and getting them separated because Meerab doesn't fit into the box that she has created for her. Did she consult her Shahnawaz before giving permission to Murtu to leave Meerab 😆

@bold Shahnawaz is rolling in his grave and waiting for begum to join him. They handled his wish so poorly, and dumped it onto two people he might have loved so dearly. Murtasim, his own son, and Meerab, his brother's daughter, again, his own blood. Meerab might actually have been dear to him, to have her reserved for his son and get her back to her kin and roots through this.

She doesn't want him to give her that choice, if she said yes he will let her go really? That means he can make do without her. She wants to be indispensable to him, not become dispensable like she was to her parents. When you suffer from abandonment issues like her you want someone to love you against all odds, not give up on you when you are at your worst, believe that you are someone worth fighting for, hold on to you even if you don't want to hold on to them.

Meerabh is not a romantic like Murtasim so we don't think of her character as someone who desires an all consuming love. But given her high self esteem she could only love passionately a man that would kill for her, not one that would die for her. She is testing his commitment to 'Meerab Sirf Meri Hai'. This whole drama is a test of Murtasim's love, she is the adjudicator and executioner.

She sure is. She is testing his limits of love and commitment before she surrenders herself.

Her abandonment issues come clearer as we go.

Yes, she needs closure from her 'foster' parents and a life she dreamt of living.

But what she also needs is security, emotional security, before being dependent on her husband, she wants to make sure she will not meet the same fate again, where she is left homeless.

Now is she feeling that complete sense of emotional security in this relationship with him yet? No.

Everyone has their own expectations out of her, even Murtasim, but what does she expect out of him and their marriage? I believe, she's figuring that out.
