I was assuming ki how we people say that what murtasim does for her is basic human rights of meerab as a girl.
And this is so right.
Its not that he is doing something extra for her, this is something she as a human deserves...
But still at last we want a man like murtasim to exist.
IRONICAL.
This shows that how we as females are being denied of basic rights in day to day life that a fictional character who is respecting those boundaries is being termed as DREAM man...means a man who can exist in dreams only.
Need a lot of work in society to ome day achieve that such men not being just dreams but reality....
Am so surprised that you are surprised!
Almost 80% couples try to consummate on wedding nights esp in arranged marriages, in most cases both parties are very excited and few cases the girls are clueless and few no body ask for girls consent !
Have u noticed the raise in divorce cases especially among urban middle and upper middle class families? Both are educated and have jobs but they fight for such petty things and demand divorce and not annulment!
The writer in her words said she had seen couples fighting and say they hate each other but still have kids , guess thru her story she tried telling them you have right and can ask ur spouse to wait! Your consent matters and your spouse might listen to you and respect ur decision!
She wanted to say Men like Murtasim will be loved too u don’t need to be like oh I am man and can have things my way!
And yes men who respect women’s consent exist and they wait too ! It’s not like they don’t or it’s dream . They do and we all know or seen them in our life!
But these dramas also reach to diff section of society where girls consent is not even asked for marriage so consent for contraception or consummation is out of question!
