What i understood is that husband is bound to give her divorce if she asks according to nikkah nama along with the haq mehr and that clouse is cut off from most nikkah nama by malvi and the groom's family which is injustice to the bride. The phupho objected to that move and asked the malvi not to cut a single clouse from the nikkah nama. So when it's cut she cannot ask for divorce and will have to go for khula and in khula the husband don't have to give haq mehr. She can file for alimony but then it's like any other divorce case. It can go for as long as both the parties don't agree on one thing.

Haq-e-Mehr is an obligatory gift in money or valuables like inheritance, property and gold, that the groom is obliged to pay to the bride. one of the most important clauses of nikaah.

it has to be paid either at the time of nikaah or before they spend the first night of their marriage. in any case, if the husband fails to pay it, the wife can claim it during their divorce. if the husband never pays it during their lifetime, the nikaah can very well be invalid.

it is to ensure the wife begins the marriage on a stable financial footing.

the amount has to be decided mutually on the basis of the husband's financial capacity, the wife also cannot demand more than he afford.

in M&M's case, whether they have consummated or not, the mehr must have been paid because their actual nikaah was not a contract and they live under the same roof.

Then he took a 180degree turn after marriage and vowed her with his flirting after marriage and by the time of ruksati 4 din ladki in wala scene ho Gaya tha🤣.
