Have we not discussed how V and Sai are husband and wife in their subconscious mind? How they easily slip into that space and it comes naturally to them. Now if that is the case, how do couples behave? They argue and fight and before they realise they are back to normal mode. Apply that to this case. It is natural.
The only difference is that this has to be devoid of romantic element. And that was very clear. It was a more friendly banter. There is a certain jealousy quotient from V's end, and that is again normal considering his nature and recent behaviour.
Now why are some not able to accept it. Because they are only seeing things on the surface and are more emotionally driven. It is more of a personal opinion over the character. And here the hot and cold approach of Sai is adding to it.
But then again, if we put that in a normal spouse scenario it would just seem natural.
