There is a story that shiv got angry at his wife Sati or Shakti for being distracted with fish when he was trying to explain her something & told her she should be born on earth as fisherman . She was born amongst fisherman & when shiv missed her he got her back by taking form of a fisherman saving the village from a huge fish. Parvatis father gave his daughter away to Shiv as reward.
