Yumna Zaidi was the Production House and Channels First Choice. They wanted the same 33year old to play 21/26 girl in this love story! We are investing time and energy in this show but they channel/PH have lot of money riding on this show and they have expertise on whom to cast! They know better than all of 10-15 million experts what they are doing,atleast casting per se Period !

The story was not love at first sight so Meerab was never supposed to be ethereal beauty ! Murtasim has known her since her diaper days so suddenly falling in love for her beauty post marriage would be silly!
He sees her for her inner strength, resilience and courage and this is what attracts him in first place which came forth post her birth truth! It wouldn’t have made an iota of diff difference to Murtasim if she was shade lesser or couple of pounds more or an inch taller . Her physical attributes never mattered!
The casting was spot on , Yumna brings forth Meerab’s strengths and vulnerabilities so perfectly and Murtasim was supposed to be this Regal / Khandani types and Wahaj just owned it !
