Except her denim jumpsuits in pks, her look in Ishq zehnaseeb and her look before she escaped from the brothel in dil na umeed i find her looks pretty much same in all the dramas except her hair length. She used to have short hair during pks. She wears similar kind of shalwar kameez in almost all dramas. The pattern is same. She also has no makeup make look in all her dramas except dnutn and Ishq zehnaseeb. In tere bin there is an overdose if highlighter.
I guess her look and makeup in Ishq zehnaseeb was the most apt for the character.
It's not just yumna, over all most pak actresses don't put much effort according to the character and it's understandable considering they have very little options. Sajal in kuch ankahi wears good dresses but they are not apt for work environment. She is wearing so many bangles and big chunky earrings and has beach wavy hair for her office. She is working in the corporate world and her look don't say so. Her hair looks unmanageable most of the times and is on her face. It's not a very neat and tidy look.
I am not talking about looking pretty but looking apt for the role. Even though mahjabeen's denim jumpsuits is a different look it don't go with the character. She is from a lower middle class family in a pak drama and she is wearing jumpsuits. Thats a pretty modern look for pak drama standards and it's hard to digest her parents bought her that dress. Even rich modern pak characters rarely wears that type of dress.
The only character who seem to have a signature look and adds to the character i can think of is meenu from chupke chupke. Her wardrobe goes with the carefree nature of the character and adds an extra zing to the character.
I believe the contrary. 😆
Yumna has looked different in most of her projects.
take hayat from yeh raha dil, she had the most apt wardrobe for a bubbly, tomboy-ish sunshine character, her most effortless styling for me.
Annie from parizaad, her wardrobe *chef's kiss* loved the boho theme, the silver jewellery, kohl eyes, she looked an RJ.
Samra from Pukaar, she hasn't looked that gorgeous as she did in the first 4 episodes of that show. Again, she played a widow for the rest, and had the most simple yet apt styling and makeup.
Hajra from inkaar, curly hairs with the most basic kashaf-inspired wardrobe.
Shakra from Ishq Zahenaseeb, that red lipstick, heavy curls and her body language changed everything
Ishq-e-laa, her post-marriage wardrobe was something everyone would want to own. She looked the elegant simple doctor part with sleek straight hair.
Bakhtawar was different because she played the boy.
There are many more, and I think, people will Meerab distinctively as well.
About Sajal, even though she's looking pretty in Kuch ankahi, she is not ready to give up on those bangles and jhumkas and the wavy hairs.
