From manjari’s pov one should be married to a spouse that loves you far more than you love them.
In her own case, she loved Harsh far, far more than he loved her and therefore she attributes her pain and suffering was more intense. So for her darling beta she’s organizing a marriage where she knows Aarohi wants him like crazy, loves him wants to be married to him and she believes her son will be happy whereas with Akshara, Manjari believes because Abhi loves Akshara more than Ak loved Abhi he suffered more.
But like you said, it’s going to be a loveless lifeless non-Union.

It's largely the elder's fault for not even bothering to attempt to explain things in a simple way to the child, and instead choosing to pamper the child's each and every whims and tantrums. This manjiri especially lying to herself and everyone that this marriage she wants desperately for ruhi's happiness, when she knows through using ruhi as an excuse she is actually trying to satisfy her own whims and fancies of wanting to get back at akshara for moving on by forcing her son into a loveless marriage in the same way she suffered in a loveless marriage with harsh. But his loyalties to Aarohi are still intact. Aarohi knew Abhi met Akshara in Kasauli first. And now, she knows he ran behind Ak. Perhaps they are setting up so she realizes she walked into this with her eyes wide open when she is left at the altar again.😢
