Writer explained it clearly. Meerub melts for Murtasim but then her ego rears its ugly head & she lashes out again. In a way she treats Murtasim as her punching bag unintentionally, now that I think about it. 🤔

Haya is not an self respect problem for her, Meerub is now jealous of Haya bcoz she has fallen in love with Murtasim. That’s why she went running to the village at night the second she heard Haya is with Murtasim. If it was a self respect, she would have waited for them to come back & then blast Murtasim.
