Today's summary:
Gurleen is in Sahiba's room asking her to put on the clothes and jewelry but she says no to coming to the reception because there's no need to show off to the world when the truth is something else. Gurleen says if you don't come today, our family will be disrespected and it's better to solve problems inside the home, the outside world and media will blow things out of proportion. One discrepancy - Gurleen says later on that Sahiba didn't refuse coming to the reception but she refused to wear the clothes, unless I'm hearing things wrong, she did refuse to come to the reception. Gurleen leaves with all the clothes (side note, the thaals she brought the clothes in are so pretty) but she leaves one thaal behind (cue that icky scene to come between Sahiba and Angad).
It's 9am, Angad is still in bed although he always gets up at 5am. He opens his picture app and a picture of Seerat pops up (here we go again - I don't blame him for not being over her, he loved her although it may have been infatuation or that he loved a version of her that doesn't exist but he doesn't know that, it's only been two days and his trust has been broken to pieces, it's just Seerat is annoying and we know the truth lol). Background music is beautiful btw, all the music of this serial has been so far. Someone brings the reception outfits for tonight, he's crying still and annoyed at the knocking. Next person to knock is Veer who has a cute moment with Angad, similar to the last episode where he interacted with Sahiba except Angad is still very angry and upset. Veer tries telling him Sahiba is great but Angad doesn't want to hear it. Veer says everything has happened, he can make the choice to live things out happily or not. Cute brother moment tbh, Veer holding Angad saying he's the heart of this house, and if he's upset everyone else will be too.
Darji and Bhebey are having a moment, saying parents should be resilient and happy when their children are sad to give them hope and to lower their pain. He then adorns her with a necklace (this scene is a contrast to how Angad and Sahiba are at the moment, a parallel. It'll be nice when our two will get to this stage). Prabhjot comes in with her negative attitude to say Sahiba has disagreed to come to reception and now Gurleen enters. Also, pan to Chachaji and ghar jamai asking if Sahiba and Angad are ready yet. Prabhjot continues bickering and being negative, bad-mouthing Sahiba. Darji stares her down while Angad is in the background listening to this. Prabhjot brings up Sahiba's aukhat, and Darji says don't talk about that because Sahiba has the world's most precious thing, self-respect. He reasons that's why she doesn't want to take any of the things we've offered, we have to look at what the root cause is - not everything in this house can be blamed on Sahiba.
Jasleen is getting ready and she messes up her makeup thinking about the slap, leading to a breakdown where she messes up her room, breaks the mirror and saying that slap will be costly, will change Manbeer's life, blah blah blah. She then proceeds to ask for a makeup artist.
Angad goes into Sahiba's room, who is looking through her outfits (deemed simple of course by Angad). Angad goes over the prestigious guest list they have and she has to wear fancy clothes because it's about their reputation. Sahiba is asking should I come as your wife, although you don't accept me, the bahu of this house although your mom doesn't accept. She says no one is happy about this, why should I be a trophy wife or dress up as something I'm not for the world (honestly agreed, yes her family made mistakes and so did she but that doesn't mean one needs to put their respect on the line for the outside world given you haven't been accepted by the same people you're meant to protect). Angad says you have to because we're a brand, and your mistake is putting our reputation on the line.
The conversation continues with Darji, and Gurleen points out that Sahiba hasn't refused to come but she won't wear the clothes given to her. Prabhjot gives a terrible line again (can she stfu pls, why doesn't she stop) and Darji stares her down again. Darji says he knows how to convince Sahiba and says only Bhebey can convince her because she knows and will always respect her elders. Bhebey says she doesn't want to talk to her (I thought she was warming up but it'll take a few more episodes).
Now Angad grabs the bracelet and says you've ruined me already but I'm not going to let you play with my family and their image, gives a final warning. She say's whether she's married or single, self-respect should always be kept. He grabs her arm, and he's forcing the bracelet on while he's taunting her (this whole scene was uncomfortable, you can see her hand going red/bruised, and it continues for way too long with them going back and forth).
