Till now she didn't fall in love. She used to love her parents a lot. When they abandoned her by not opening door for her despite her begging, she abandoned them too. She is still angry with her real father for abandoning her in childhood.

She sought her real father's help forgetting her ego for murtasim in fish scene, she wanted to meet murtasim despite getting insulted by his family because talking to him was her first priority. She left only after he accused her of never coming back for him. She didn't try to explain herself too. She is kind of person who won't pursue people if they say they don't want her.

I don't mind meerab being not selfless as long as she doesn't behave selfish.

This is the aspect I love about her and thus is something which is also present in murtasim also...

I mean even when he also thought she doesn't want to be with him,he didn't went to fetch her or forced her to be with him...

He went to take her when he got to knew she was i sulted and that also back to home not to him that was left on her will...

Valid point! Pick up separation from any hindi tv serial and the female lead is more determined and headstrong after getting separated from husband/partner. Most of them are shown to be going back to their jobs or something. But they do fend well for themselves.

Even pappa ki paris end up being self sufficient in Hindi serials 😆. Even in small towns female characters are shown to be independent and self sufficient.

Pak dramas nowadays repeatedly portrays female characters don't have an identity of their own if she don't have a father or a brother or a husband to look after her. That wasn't the case with dramas like Zgh, udaari or yks. The female leads from Zgh and udaari were from lower middle class and poor families resp and only had females in the family and still were shown to be running the household just fine. In yks sajal had her father atleast till she became a doctor. They also portray Pakistan a literal hell for women without a man and it's impossible for her to survive. Even though i havent been there but i doubt it's as hard as dramas show it to be in the big cities. I have heard alot of pak actresses saying they have been brought up by single mothers or they only have female members in the family.
