Yes, this is what I got from the writer’s IV. I was always confused about that point - I think choppy scene editing and direction caused this confusion. However the writer’s statement on Meerub’s perspective of the marriage clarifies it for me. ( They really could have done a better job of this, frankly. If many of us were this confused, something was lacking.)

I feel that Meerab's character was not written with depth. They could have given us a monologue about what she was thinking. It would have helped the viewers to understand the character well. I read a comment about the monologue. I agree that her monologue is needed.

Remember writer's fav child? Murtu is their ladla beta. Director said , writer said even yumna said in interview except murtasim every other character has got grey shades

Only murtu is the ladla + accha beta here.

So no chance on that. Murtu agar bura karega bhi to they will show meerab did something that made him lose his shits abd behaving bura

Hmmm it could be like he will move on with life not with someone else but alone .

If I ever meet this lyricists,he will definitely get a slap from me for messing with my mind. Frankly I never paid attention to lyrics,it was until you all were going round and round did I actually google it and did this preliminary analysis.

I don’t see Murtasim turning some bazigar type where he push meerab from high tower when she confesses her love Nor do I see meerab as weak character . It’s love story and as writer says she cant hve a straight line , it has to be zig zag so drama is needed.

Sometimes feel many who watched Yumna prev performance feel meerab is weak but I only watched Yumna in PKS and bits / pieces of DNUNT she is no doubt terrific actress and meerab may be not her usual genre she plays but definitely it’s not a weak char , infact so far meerab has been most consistent char in show, how intelligent and string a char has to be to pull out no physical contact at last moment on Murtasim ?

Yes Murtasim is been having many monologues but it was less for meerub. We dont know what she is thinking..

But if the director has left it for the audiences' imagination, then everyone will have different perspective and will come up with their own input as they see and understand it.
