Moonks,
Just loving your episodic analysis. Yes going back and watching each episode gives u total different take for each scene and interactions.
Wish we could TB forum like we do for other ITV soaps so these discussions hve separate thread for continuity.
Even earlier I said MK never had a deep rooted hatred for meerab in fact he kept meerab in higher pedestal than haya. Meerab was outsider to him who would visit his kingdom and ruffle things just like a bee does to garden. She was pain in both his ass and head as he couldn’t understand why was she and her life decisions so important to MB and Anwar and why would Waqas and Anila require their permission.
Imagine being khan and have to run to Karachi everytime for things related to meerab. It’s quite established anwar took Murtasim earlier also to settle meerab issues.
It’s like what meerab wants to study in co-ed school! No this is against khandani BS , Murtasim take out the car let’s go to Karachi
What meerab wants to wear heels , absolutely not possible Murtasim please take our car. Reason why Anwar took Murtasim always could be they had a bond and he knows Meerab -Murtasim are to get married , his only way to get his daughter back home and his last chance at redemption!
So back to Murtasim’s POV she was this independent thinking, fiery, i speak what comes to my mind! I hate this feudal system and all this traditional stuff person she hated everything which he represented and was very vocal. If there is a back story to Murtasim and if it’s he has been forced into his system then her hatred and dislike might have definitely hit him hard ! It’s like someone is constantly prickling the pain ur trying to bury or heal.
Another one is he has been accustomed to certain things most important people have put him on pedestal, they believe in him and his decision, they respect him and he has certain authority and command and meerab behaves with him like he is some egotistical entitled man who got everything without much sacrifice and doesn’t do any hard work . To her he was just another shezada who got everything in platter which is not the case so everytime she disrespected him he felt bad and irritated.
My two cents he never hated her but neither he had any feelings, but his opinion of her was always She was not like the khandani women who he was used to seeing around ! Don’t think he subconsciously loved her
And Meerab always had this bookish picture of feudalism- they are oppressors and dictators and she simply pasted all those characteristics onto Murtasim and looks like he never corrected her as he probably never felt the need to change her impression of him and so he let her think of him whatever she felt like and yes maybe somewhere liked his fights with her so egged her. Amongst all yes sir yes sir she was different with all her ideals and views .
