I was ok with murtasim following her like a puppy lost in love... I think bcoz the episode was rushed, we couldnt connect with murtasim's emotions. But the way Murtasim didnt react when Haya touched the arm, was so out of character. Meerub was annoyed and she did say it out loud but Murtasim just takes it lightly 🙄🙄
I wonder whether it's the same Murtasim we were shown earlier. Previously he had pushed Haya's hand when she tried to touch him or berate her when she came close. I dont understand why after he got married, he is okay with Haya coming close to him..🤔🤔 It's really confusing.. The only explanation that I can come up with is, he is doing it intentionally to make Meerub jealous. But again that is wrong on so many levels, as he is giving hope to another girl.. The more I think about it, the more deeper I fall inside the hell hole 😪😪
If he doubts Meerab's friendship, this is where the double standards come bcoz his ego was hurt and his prominence in her life is being questioned with her having other close male cousins or friends. So all the hoola hooh will follow.
A man like Murtasim can never see his woman with another man, even if it's her cousin. He is a feudal lord who is egoistic and has some narcissistic traits. But he cannot be labelled as a male chauvinist completely bcoz there were times, when he stood up for his wife and considered her his equal. So I would say his ego is bigger than his love.
In today's world, men can do what ever they want and still, will not be questioned on purity or morals. But if a woman does the same, her purity and morals will be questioned.
