Another shared session with Australia adding 105 runs and India taking 3 wickets. It started with the dismissal of Travis Head, caught at slip off Shami, but that brought in Handscomb to partner Khawaja, also ensuring Australia's best moments in this Test. Both batters were supremely confident against spin, Khawaja using the sweeps and the reverse sweeps to good effect, while Handscomb looked technically solid. It needed a one-handed blinder from KL Rahul to cut short Khawaja's innings for 81, Alex Carey fell for a duck, but Cummins has looked assured against spin. This ain't a minefield though and there's value for shots on this outfield, but Australia could fancy their chances if they add another 50 more runs.

India should be happy with their effort in this session. They are the better-placed side after the completion of two sessions. The Aussies pretty much dominated the first hour but they only have themselves to blame for the position they are in right now.

Shami got rid of Travis Head early into the session but a strong partnership between Khawaja and Handscomb allowed Australia to come back into the test match. The duo scored runs very progressively and the spin twins Axar and Jadeja looked very ineffective. However, KL Rahul pulled a screamer off Jadeja's bowling and was rewarded with Khawaja's wicket as his 250th scalp in test cricket. Carey fell quickly to Ashwin and it seemed like the visitors were succumbing again. However, a late revival from Cummins and Handscomb have ensured that the Aussies did not lose any further wickets.

After a couple of entertaining test cricket sessions, let's wait to see how the final session of the day will play out.
