yaaa...Bates and Tuhuhu quite shocking!

Maybe because there are just 5 teams and they can only play 4 international players in a match?

Even IPL has the same struggle, benching some real champs with that constraint.

How much can they scoop at bench, they always need to pitch for local backup talent.

That's a wrap

Smriti Mandhana, the first buy of the auction, who went to RCB, was also the biggest buy at 3.4 Crore. Ashleigh Gardner (GG) and Nat Sciver-Brunt (MI) were the biggest overseas buys at 3.2 Crore each. Deepti Sharma was the second biggest Indian buy, going to UPW for 2.6 Crore, followed by Jemimah Rodrigues to DC for 2.2 Crore. Beth Mooney (GG) and Shafali Verma (DC) went for 2 Crore each, Pooja Vastrakar went to MI for 1.9 Crore, the same amount RCB spent to get Richa Ghosh. Harmanpreet Kaur, the second player to appear in the auction, went to MI for 1.8 Crore while Sophie Ecclestone went to UPW for the same price.

A total of 87 players were sold, 30 of them being overseas players. The total purse spent by the teams was 59.50 Crore of the allowed purse of 60 Crore. DC and RCB were the two teams to go in with the full strength of 18 players while MI and GG roped in 17 players each. UPW finished the auction with 16 players. That brings up to the end of the auction.
