Yeah it is either to guilt trip Abhi and Gorillas as to how Abhir and Akshu are struggling or to use it aginst Akshara in custody battle!

But I don’t think there will be a custody battle. It is mostly guilt trip for the leads. To show Abhimanyu that his son could’ve had a better life if his anger didn’t destroy everything. To show Akshara that her son could’ve had a better life if she sought help from family rather than a stranger, if it was only her than her decision to not ask for help is justified but then she had a kid to take care of and its not like they won’t help her if she asked them! She could’ve asked for help and still stayed away from the family but its all tangled rightnow! If Ak asked for help then Abhi would know about Abhir’s existence and then the purpose is lost! They have left it open ended to take it anywhere!

OR

It can just be for the audience to show parallels of two different worlds the kids grew up in!

Really gets to me they never show akshu succeed in anything!! I would prefer if they show her to have some sort of post natal depression instead!

How is it negligence though, they work hard and have managed to put Abhir in a English medium school plus he looks like a very happy well fed child!
