caught up with all the episodes. amidst everything I have to say about the show, let me say this loud and clear: Wahaj makes Murtasim a lot more likeable and convincing than he actually is as a character. Don't anyone dare say that he is in LOVE with Meerab, because he is NOT, by any means. š¤Ŗ
When they fall in love, it will be a lot more intense and not these petty games of seduction. Right now, he is just trying to MOULD her as per his ways, keeping meerab's 'pal mein tola, pal mein masha' moods in mind. He is smart that way. Meerab is annoying, cute at times because of Yumna and so far, more relatable of the two. š
She has not accepted the marriage completely and I am glad she is holding back because Murtasim miyaan clearly has a one track mind (something I do not appreciate a lot in my heroes š³). The desperation with those 'aurat aurat mard ki wajah se hoti hai' was so off-putting. I would call it subtle manipulation infact. The misogynistic undertones in the show cannot be ignored.š¤
While I know he feels sympathetic towards her, he is also pushing her off-limits. Meerab needs time to put her new life and new identity together, else she'll keep on rebelling and pulling immature stunts. They need to fall in love first before they culminate their relationship.
P.S. Did not appreciate Murtasim discussing his wife with Haya at all. HAYA, of all people. But that 'main rishton mein khayanat nahi karta' was appreciable.
