I was surprised nobody had chosen chicken until the second last - it’s an ingredient most have used and would be easy for them.
Anyway let’s talk about the dishes -
Kamaldeep - the dish looked beautiful, there’s no denying that. But again making tabbouleh, hummus and falafel!! They’ve got to start doing something else. Also her steamed bread failed, so in my opinion she shouldn’t have been eligible to be safe today.
Deepa - dish didn’t look so good to me. But I guess it tasted good from the judges comments.
Gurkirat - his dish look good, I didn’t understand the judges comments on his dish. From what I understood was that the mousse was so good that they’d eat that more than the cake. His dish was praised. He should’ve been safe today.
Sachin - his dish looked good, but there was almost no feedback shown. By the way what did Garima say - he used capsicum in his dish?
Priyanka - beautiful looking dish, and she had a lovely ingredient. It’s a pity her cookies were burnt. Otherwise she could’ve been saved. Her flavours were praised just that the Brazil nuts weren’t the star ingredient.
Aruna - her dish looked good there’s no doubt about that. But the praises were a bit OTT. Somehow I think whatever she does will be praised to the skies and today was an example. By the way what she steam? Didn’t the judges say that the steamed element should be clearly steamed and noticeable?
Naziya - her dish looked okay. But she had an undercooked pie. Did she steam her pie, which led it to being undercooked?
Priya - I didn’t like the fact that Ranveer said he won’t taste her dish because it wouldn’t save her. That was rude. There were other dishes that clearly didn’t look like they’d be saved, but were tasted. As a judge it’s his job to taste dishes. Heck they even tasted Dyutis dish though she didn’t manage to complete her plating on time. Maybe her flavours were wow. Coming back to Priya - how clumsy can one be to burn the same thing twice?
Shanta - I’m glad she managed to make the chicken confit even though the judges said she wouldn’t be able to! In fact she had enough time to even overcook a part of the chicken!! Her flavours were good too. She’s always at the borderline when it comes to making the best dish. She needs just a little more push.
Nayanjyoti - His dish looked good, unfortunately it was a little overdone. I don’t understand why choose an ingredient you’ve never cooked with before?
Suvarna - her dish looked good. Unfortunately her elements were raw. Again she’d added a Maharashtrian touch. I really want to see something different from her as well.
Kamaldeep's dish was chosen maybe coz it was best among the rest.
Gurkirat himself wasn't happy with his dish..but it looked wow.
Wanted to hear more about Sachin's dish.
Priyanka..overenthusiastic n clumsy..sab kuch karne ke baad bhi kahin kuch galat ho jaata hai. Though loved her presentation even without the burnt cookies.
Aruna steamed the halwa..saw her putting grated carrots in the steamer.
Priya would've deserved to go if this was elimination day..careless
Shanta..my fav. But poor girl looks so underconfident and confused all the time. Wish I could give her a pep talk
