The problem is she has never heard "NO" from her minions for a long long time and eventually became habitual of controlling anything and everything in the house. She is seen to get restless when somebody disagrees to her, so she stoops to the lowest level to prove herself right.
For example, Just to show her plan of trapping Shweta in buying PN is right, she put all of their lives at stake.
