I think at times we tend to judge reel life characters as though they are real. In reality, if my husband had done what Abhi did, I would probably have done far worse things than Ak.

But this is fiction. I am not sure about others. For me fiction is an escape from reality. Thats why I dont watch emotionally charged shows. Whilst I want some reality, I still want my "happily ever after"

Twitter is a fire pit so I would ignore the part about Akshu solo supporters. Everyday these is bashing on each character and there is a crazy line drawn because people cannot see eye to eye and cannot bear anyone saying anything about their favorite character. The comments are fine but because of the environment solo stands like to enter tweets and start bashing unnecessarily.

The forum here isn't prefect but this thread has been somewhat open to people posting their thoughts and we know we don't all agree. If we see someone being inflammatory we tend to ignore then engage in an argument that at the end of the day makes no sense since these are fictional characters.

I agree and am in the same school of thought that a sorry is still a sorry no matter what just apologize for what you said.

But I see what they are trying to say regarding the reason for the specific highlighted sorry of Sirat Ma comment. Divorce happened. She's moved on what does a sorry mean? He meant it because it was too hard for everyone. They tried to make it work but in the end they couldn't hold onto each other. Of course I still think it was more of an unilateral decision on his side.

As for his punishment. I think both Akshu and Abhi have suffered a lot. Neither have moved on and they have their own illusions.

Abhi he has a family but they cannot see his pain and loneliness

Abhi is shouldered with the responsibility of looking after Roohi

Abhi is working but he withdrew from being a MD

Abhi has stopped being reglious

Abhi has given up on anger and real emotions (I actually want him to give up anger cause it was too destructive)

He went from losing his children > to his younger brother > to divorce > dealing with a sick parent > to shouldering responsibility of Neil's child and looking after pregnant Arohi

Yesterday he finally started his process of letting everything inside of him come out and trying to come to terms with why he cannot be forgiven

Akshu > losing her children > losing a younger brother > to divorce > blame by both families for Neil's death > finding out one child survived and having to take care of herself and the baby > taking care of a premature baby

Akshu has stopped singing

Akshu believes all Birlas blame her for Neil’s death

Akshu believes the Goenkas feel the same way about Neil and has separated herself from them and they in turn have sort of looked away not realizing how hurt she is believing in the illusion she has created about herself

Akshu built an illusionary world to protect herself and her baby because she wants to escape the burden of being blamed by her loved ones

Akshu has turned to anger and is a bit bitter
