I don’t watch this show for any logic or moral lesson. It’s pure OTT masala show like every other itv show. That’s how I see it & have managed my expectations tbh.

I agree. These interviews are just damage control. They know they messed it up with the slap. A real life Murtasim would be considered toxic by most and no girl in her sane mind and with agency would want to be married to him

Don’t get me wrong, he is not convincing me to “feel” for him, but everytime he is on screen, can’t take my eyes off him. I know very well this guy is going the use and discard way. Otherwise I am sorry, this role got wasted on him if that’s not how the story is going

Well, Meerab's main problem is robbing her right of making a choice and her individuality.. everything is just imposed on her, she was put in such a helpless condition that she submitted to the decision made for her by all elders.. she's told that she has no identity as now, she's nothing more than Murtasim's wife.. the viewers see the handsome Wahaj so they think why she's doing all this as they wanna see the romance between them.. if there was some average-looking guy instead of Wahaj then this oppression would actually look like oppression to these viewers..

As for Murtasim, yes, I think he want this marriage to work, but on his and Amma Begum's terms and conditions..

I don't know what will happen in the coming episode, but a happy ending can happen only if he doesn't stop her to follow her career dreams and life choices.. and their relationship grows on give and take basis..

lol Murtasim is already spouting “feminist” dialogues in the new episode promo. “tum qaid mein nahi ho” “tum wahi Meerub ho, kisi se na darne wali, sach ka saath dene wali” etc etc. He obviously won’t stop her from doing anything she wants.

The problem is, they are purposely making Meerub act like a spoiled brat. Instead of fighting for her career, she is playing a stupid revenge game, which she is only getting away with bcoz Murtasim is soft for her. She could have made Murtasim sign her law admission form too with that contract but she didn’t. Bcoz of course taking revenge is more important than her career.

Anyways her character isn’t of a strong independent girl at all. It’s just of a pampered spoiled brat, who will be disciplined by her mature & strict (also hot) husband bcoz her parents are absolutely useless.

That’s what this show is going for. 😆

The dude is literally her daddy. He is the only one taking all her temper tantrums and giving in on all her demands. Kya din aa gaye. Shohar ko ki sugar daddy bana diya. 🤣.

The show obviously has a lot of flaws. They showed MURTIZIM saved her honour, but did he? He took her away from the venue and as soon as they came back there was no one at the venue? What sort of guests did they invite? either they knew murtizim is pissed off and left, OR they didn’t care to have dinner or enjoy the party? both the cases are weird, because Pakistani and Indians don’t just LEAVE, they stick at the venue for eons. If they have changed MURTIZIM’s character due to backlash then I am happy, but aren’t these shows preshot anyway? the episode was enjoyable in spite of the flaws, now cannot wait to watch the next one🤗

MURTIZIM in a soft yet authoritative tone saying “you are my wife” had my heart ❤️

Vaise does anyone know or have access to Wahaj Ali dancing on Muqala song with Maya Ali at someone’s wedding function. I LOVE LOVE a guy who dances with no holds barred, kisine kaha ki there is a video somewhere of Wahaj dancing on muqabala …
