I did not watch the episode. I want to point out I was raised by a single mother, we are three siblings. My brother oldest, me and my younger sister. I have so much to say about being raised by a single mom.
We were in a sort of joint family, in the sense we lived in the same building as my two mamas. My youngest mama moved out very early but we cousins are super close.

Honestly ITV never portrays single motherhood, joint families, children of single mothers well at all. there is no accuracy of any sort with respect to emotions, struggles or addressing cultural and societal hypocrisy with respect to it.

As for the age old single mom and her son dynamic, it’s actually slightly funny, because my brother almost took a fatherly role with me and my sister, to the extent he started becoming very conservative and strict with us. My mother put an immediate stop to it and encouraged him to marry early, he was in the army on SSC. He did, a love marriage. My mother and my bhabhi are super super close. They had to be since Bhaiya extended his SSC and was constantly getting posted. My older nephew literally was growing up in a household full of women, in fact at that time our maternal grandmother also stayed with us until her death.

I think what I am trying to say is it is high time ITV start portraying or addressing single motherhood in a more realistic fashion. My brother never got away with anything, in fact, my younger sister always felt she had more freedom than Bhaiya. Even when my brother was posted for the first time, she was extremely happy, proud and always used his example to us sisters of following our dream. This whole possessive mother, bratty son thing needs to end,

Most of the single Mom’s or Moms in general feel that they are left behind , if not they themselves with their over attachments to sons will create problems !

How much we love our children also ( I am a Mom) they are not a part of out body .nor do extension of self !

They come to the world through parents , children will have a life of their own

Still can share close bond if nothing turns toxic !

to be honest, I didn't mind aarav getting so angry. even I was glaring at ehsaan showing up katha's house. he really is shameless.

katha needs aarav to glare at ehsaan -- otherwise, it seems she is too polite with him for some reason to draw boundaries

Guys, i seriously think it's high time for makers to bring a parallel female lead. Office mei Katha Katha. At home the kid is behaving like the entire world is behind his mom Katha and he needs to protect her. Oh God give me a break.

In OG, Reva's character was quite nice. She had full-fledged role,also a positive role. So it was quite a nice balance between two couples. Yahan toh Katha ko hi super woman dikhana hei. Aditi is a fantastic actress, that doesn't mean makers will show her as a superwoman.

I don't expect this show to be close to reality or expect katha to be progressive, I just watch it for time pass
