Just watched the episode after coming home from work.
I Liked the episode much to my surprise (even though I skip scenes) because i thought I would not like it after reading online comments. Honestly, people are too nitpicky and forget that this is a fictional show, we cannot compare to real life or expect to see logic in every situation.
This show is so aesthetically shot; the lighting, the set up in Viaan's cabin, background music and the execution of the card scene was beautiful. Technicalities should be appreciated: like how the scenes kept switching between viaan and katha, adding to the audience' anticipation.
Aditi is magnificent on screen. she is a natural, especially in her scenes with Aarav. Her portrayal of Katha is so raw: I may not understand all her actions or decisions but I GET her struggle as a single mother who lost so much in life. Perhaps this is why Viaan is so guilt ridden, because he only made her life harder. It is the raw moments like the card scene, and Viaan's pain, is what ties these characters together despite conflicts.
The leads enrich this show and elevate the viewing experience tenfolds, their screen presence and individual charisma brings life to the characters. There is a certain rawness to the charcters and situations which is why Ehsan's track is jarring, it reminds us that we are indeed watching a tv serial. Unfortunately we have to tolerate ehsaan and the garewals because serials need spice, but the main focus should never shift away from katha and Viaan.
