Jay Soni has always been a good actor, but yes no matter how good an actor, if the character isn't enjoyable or well-written then a good actor can't save it.

Just look at jay's dashing and smart look here. If instead they had made his character a smart and dashing businessman we would have been less annoyed with his presence as the third angle. I've seen most of jay's previous show's and he is a really good actor.

Being rich is not necessary. Stability (mental, physical, and financial) would have been just fine, but although not toxic, his character does seem a bit cuckoo 🤪
