One of the biggest problems with this show is the web of lies. Even if someone is shown to be acha admi or achi orat, they lie like it's nobody's business. Dude, a good person is honest. Being in love or having an abusive partner is no justification to become Pinocchio.

About Akshara hiding Abhir's lineage:

If someone does you wrong, it's their fault, but if you wrong them in return, you also become wrong. Two wrongs don't make a right. It's simple Math.

Akshara is justified not wanting anything to do with Abhimanyu, but she not only wronged her oppressor (AKA Abhimanyu) but also her son, and changing his lineage is where she borderline sinned.
