I think the writers want to say he is drawn to her all over again like a moth to a flame. He cannot help it and her relationship status makes no difference.

I think that is the whole point of Abhi and Akshu.

Abhi and Akshu are the only ones who get moved by each other in the truest form and sense. They can "move forward" but they will never be whole without each other.

I hate how the writers do that.

To me despite what happened with Neil, Askhu to me does not deserve any of this. Arohi is one I could and would never forgive. Even if lets say I have to move forward in family relationship or work relationship in the back of my mind I will always have one eye looking at her wondering and waiting for her to turn.

Abhi to me keeps his distance. He is respectful because she is Neil’s wife and Roohi's mom. He is past the stage of being overly aggressive and mean to her. He can have normal conversations with her.

But why are we believing anything Manjari says? She has become so illogical and living in her own world where she does not see Shefali being beaten

When he raised doubts on Sirat's death itself you could see he was on Ar's side not Ak's.

My choice of words I think were not great either. Bottom line is Ar being grey/black made no difference to TRP, they needed to bring the leap, so they had to turn her into an angel so they could start the cross pairing plot. May be TRP audience is more forgiving than us who knows.

Manj's plan will be a fake death addition to the fake marriage and son, scene like in the 80s films where she will make Abhiru take an oath.

Properly get Rohan to fake it her sasural, Birla hospital. She had a perfect opportunity when she was in hospital on the day of the funeral.
