As people have already said all characters including FL and ML are layered so there will always be some other imperfections from all the characters

to be honest, that is a huge plot hole. more than viaan not asking, am puzzled why she would hide aarav's sickness. if she had been honest from the get go, she could have raised funds from employees like a pool share. or maybe put him on her insurance or the company's. or get some help through viaan's rich people connections. there are so many other ways it could have gone.

but for reasons that I don't get, she chose to keep quiet even when her situation was so dire. she was telling strangers like bank managers, social media but she didn't want to tell her office. that made no sense. so she created a situation where someone is going to think the worst. it looks like her dues were 1 lakh and something odd. she was asking for 100 times her salary. no one gives that kind of money and immediately you are more likely to think -- "this person is trying to fleece me!"

As someone who knows business owners and investors, I guarantee you for 1 crore no one is going to easily trust someone with a half baked reason even if it's true. 1 crore is such a large amount and there are people who will never be able to repay that huge amount and the lending party will have the bear the loss and this has happend in the past. If she needed that money, it was completely her responsibility to convince the lender with a truthful and believable story.

No insurance is given after cancer or any terminal disease is detected atleast what I have seen in my company

But yea it is a huge pothole another one being why Viaan went ahead with the ONS

Guess makers tried justifying the reason of katha not being able to tell the truth in earthcon (I think Rewa stops her from telling the truth as it could risk her job and stop her daily income)

It was not Earthcon's responsibility to give loan to her it was her FIL's responsibility but anyways from Katha's point of view i don't understand why she had to hide her cancer patient son for her job even at the worst case scenario when she was thinking of suicide and ONS

Chalo Vian did a cheap proposal but if she had Vian's number that day to ask for venue and time ,she must be having Ehsaan 's number right why didn't she try talking to him after Viaan's proposal

Frankly speaking there are a lot loopholes in the ONS

This plot hole existed in the OG as well? I guess the story would not be possible otherwise.

exactly! she is essentially asking for loan that is about 8 years her salary in advance. literally no one is going to give that. in offices, I have heard of 10% of your yearly salary advance on compassionate grounds. but this is 100 times her salary (if we assume her salary is lakh+ based on the cheque). there was no way for her to return that unless she signed on a 10-20 year bond and even then it would not be guaranteed.

so yes, with such a huge amount, no one is going to accept that kind of secrecy. instead, their red flag radar will be blinking rapidly a 1000 times like hurricane alert. that is why viaan reacted the way he did. he saw her as trying to abuse the system as soon as she got promoted and she was trying to sweet talk him into giving her money.

in the original, she lied about having a child because she kept losing jobs and not getting interviews when they heard she was single mother. since she was short of cash, she lies that she is single at the interview because she is desperate. that is what I remember.
