Rohit in particular looked in the mood as he stroked an eye-catching fifty to entertain the crowd. Gill was a bit restrained today as he batted through till the end with a lot of composure. He too did play some fab strokes of course, extending his glorious run of form with the bat. NZ's bowlers can't really be faulted as they just didn't have the runs to play with. Their only hope was to strike early with the new ball but that didn't happen. India's batters completed the formalities without much fuss. The game was setup by the bowlers and New Zealand will rue their indiscipline with the bat.

Shubman Gill - It was a good opportunity for me to stay unbeaten in the middle. There was a little in it for the fast bowlers in the second innings, thought there would be more when we saw them bat, but there wasn't a lot 9when we batted). But it was turning and gripping for the spinners. It's always a dream to bat with Rohit bhai, have learnt a lot batting along with him. Me and Ishan Kishan) are best mates, we spend a lot of time off-field together, it was great to spend some time batting together.

As we await the presentation, I think this is India's biggest win against New Zealand in terms of number of balls remaining.
