For example, I do not know - any devar-bhabhi turned partners in my circle/relatives/town - while every other family I know has devar-bhabhi turned bro-sis examples!

I have seen families where after one son's death, other son takes care of his bro's child / children and family finds suitable partner for deceased son's wife!

I forgot one of my favorite shows name - that one had air force officers story - I think ' xxxx aasman' ??? can not recall exactly.

I have relatives whose relative's marriage ended sometime in the 1950's-1960's because her husband continued his premarital affair with his bhābhī. The wronged wife was subsequently courted by her devara, remarried with him, and gave birth to their child while he was in Europe, committing bigamy. She was a doctor, and remained witty and beautiful in spite of her difficult life as a single mother. I never met any of the principals in this real-life saga, which was narrated to me without naming names except hers.

So the wronged wife’s husband (formerly: devar) married someone else while she had his child? 🤔🤔🤔

ITV mein everything is shown way to dramatic these days! Like there’s literally nothing else to tell like there’s only one narrative and it’s on repeat! So sick and tired lol

There was Sea Hawks as well which used to come when I was a kid and my parents used to watch it on regular basis.

Unfortunately these shows are lost somewhere and we can’t rewatch them again to relive those memories.

There have been affairs between devar bhabhi of famous personalities as well but firstly, they had been behind closed doors and at least one of the two parties were unmarried.

Once the party got married they gave respect to their spouses that they deserved.

And it wasn’t expressed or justified as explicitly it is done on the ITV shows.

Because in any case bigamy is a punishable offence in Hindu Marriage Law.
