Shanaka is the Player of the Match

Shanaka: I think so (a captain's performance?). We could've done well in the middle part. Game was set by the openers. Need to play well in the middle order to allow finishers to finish well. It's not the dew factor, it's the skill of Indian batters. They took the game away from us but still we managed to hold the nerve. Really good to defend the total especially against India in these conditions.

Hardik mincing no words about the no-balls there. India bowled 7 of them today. And their batting didn't deliver either, collapsing to 57/5 and it was left to Axar Patel to pull off something sensational which he so nearly did. But it was Sri Lanka who prevailed today, led by their captain Dasun Shanaka who continues to make merry against this opposition. So that's all we have from this one. Series is level at 1-1 and it's all to play for in Rajkot on Saturday.

We lost due to all the extras we gave away.

Also it wasn't like that dew tha, ball gilli ho kar chutt gayi, rather it was all about foot NBs.

I liked how Pandya didn't go around accusing

Also want to see him play, in both the matches he didn't much. It is always fun seeing him bat

Yes I like his batting too. I hope to see him bat in next game wobhi for long.

India's basic mistakes ... 👎🏼... Was theirs for the picking.

3 free hits costed us 19 runs

Half those no ball would have saved us the match.

Alas it is not the case and we lost the match.

Kudos to Axar, SKY and Shivam for taking us close to the target. At one stage I thought we are going to lose by 70 or 80 runs.
