I beleive the rival company's offer and katha rejecting it was done to establish her morale and integrity. Indian audience might not be so welcoming of ONS ,despite the female leads circumstances or her despair.
One thing common for ITV female lead is that they always keep others above themselves. Katha too did that. She is ready to get hurt, but not ready to hurt others.
She might be able to live with the guilt of ONS , but she might not be able to live with the guilt of hurting others or cheating others. There are people like katha who would rather destroy themselves than cheat others.
If I would be in katha place -
First of all , I will not lie to company that I am single
I will clearly tell my situation to Viaan and ask for loan
I will also share the offer I got from rival company
I have inner instinct that even he fires Katha from job, viaan will definitely help as he is anyway going to do charity on his father’s name
I strongly believe in honesty and transparency brings only good
Viaan may think katha is lying initially but he can later see she is telling truth and he will help
If I was Katha then,
1. I would mortgage the house where I’m is living currently to get loan from bank or from company ( by giving details to HR ) to get more money for operation
2. I’ll sell off everything at home to get money
3. I would seek help from NGO to get money by charity
But,no way will I ever agree for ONS or cheat the company where I’m working as an employee
I want to say , I will do any thing to save my child’s life
Before that I will seek all other ways
Katha’s case she has 40 lakhs but still not enough
She doesn’t owe any property and badly need the job to survive
Since being a Mom “ I would rather die than seeing my child dying because of not enough money”
I will accept “ Death physically or spiritually to save my child for which I will ask forgiveness from my soul”
I can’t even imagine such a scenario
The “ Original version “ the lady forgives father in law which I will never be able to fo since he wished child’s death than saving him
This kind of father in law exists? Was speechless to watch that scene 😳..if I would have in kathas shoe I wouldn't have never for given that moran insane fil..🤬 I would have taken money from pyramid construction for sure .as my son is dying ..instead of waiting last moment ..
But that fil kind of human bhi hota hai?😲 Shayed hota hai ..
If she had sold the designs which were technically the property of the company then she would be in jail and/or Viaan would sue her for MILLIONS. Then what? If she is in jail and broke her son dies or lives without his mom & probably placed in an orphanage
Companies can hire and fire at will (dunno about India). The Pyramid company can turn around and fire Katha & claim they didn’t know she stole those designs. They can take back their loan or demand she pay it back immediately. Then what? No job, black listed with no references..who would want to hire her? Where would she get the money to treat a her son ?
The one solid route she had was the crowd sourcing…she could have gotten donations & even if Viaan saw…he would be mad but I doubt he would fire her. His company would look terrible to fire a single windowed mother with a sick son
This angle was poorly written in my eyes cause it could have been a solution to her issues. This is where I see some inconsistency in logic & writing.
Whether this ONS happens or not I won’t see them any different. I want to see how well it’s written after the fact. If it doesn’t happen, how is the story written going fwd?
If it does happen, how does Viaan & Katha deal with this. He will eventually find out about her son …then what? Does he feel like shit? Does he ‘respect her’ now (that would kinda suck tbh cus it’s like white washing cop out).
Didn’t watch or even know of the Turkish drama but I hope whatever story is done here has some edge & class.
What a fantastic poll mango.
I think I would look for where I have most control and least amount of fall out.
imho, the one night stand looks to be the solution, that said, there is no way in hell I would come back and work in the same office. I would take a few days leave and look for another job while my son was getting operated.
i dont think they established that the Earth Con job and work culture is so much better than Pyramid. therefore it seems odd that she has so much loyalty towards Earth Con when they have not even hired her in a permanent position. Most companies these days strive to hire people of different backgrounds to show that they have a diverse work culture and deliberately hire more women or even people from certain ethnic groups just to promote diversity. So it is kinda regressive for her to take up a position at a workplace where she has to lie about her marital status or having a child.
I feel that she didnt explore the option to negotiate better terms with the rival company where she can ensure she gets the money and also doesn't end up completely betraying a code of trust/honor. She should have bought herself some time and bargained with Pyramid and Earth Con.
She can honestly tell the Earth Con people that she is getting a better offer from a rival company and bid them against each other. Its not unusual for people to apply for more than 1 job and bid the competing offers against each other to get ourselves the best deal. the more offers you have, the more bargaining power you have. Its obvious that if you are applying for jobs and selling your skill set to them, at the same time the company is also being evaluated by the candidate. Just like a company has many applicants, an applicant has many companies to choose from. There is nothing wrong in honestly telling an employer that while you really want to join them/stay with them, you have other equally good offers as well and that if they cannot match those offers then the candidate will have to pick the best option.
Katha didnt even have a tenure contract or a longterm working relationship that she needed to honor since she was only in a temporary position at Earth Con. So its fair game for her to tell them that she has a better offer from a rival company.
nutty ohho😛
Arre aap IDHAR bhi 😉😛😆
