I agree that they must have waited for the adoption process... Not because of grandmotherhood or other stated reasons but because the couple didn't know how compatible they were at all... They went on their honeymoon and came back with a child... There is a reason why the government and the legal system have established rules that the couple should be in a stable marriage of atleast two years... Also some people do get pregnant on their honeymoon even in arranged marriage with strangers but atleast in that case, they have 9 months to adjust to the change and also being a biological child, the motherly instinct somehow does set in for a lot of people(of course there are some people who struggle to accept even there).... plus there's an added benefit of the entire family supporting and pampering the mother enough to make the change more easier.
I am not against adoption neither do I feel adopted kids and biological kids should be treated differently. On the contrary, I feel if the parents have better understanding between them it would be much better to accept and love a child not related to them and treat them better. If one person has even the slightest doubt in adopting, then the adoption process must be put on hold until they can clear all their doubts. No one should adopt on a whim or a fancy because in the end, a child's life hangs in the balance. Also if there are other kids, the kids must be given time to accept the new sibling. The new kid must not be thrust into the family which will make them treat the new kid with distaste and again make the life of the kid miserable.
Sorry, I get emotional when it comes to kids... And having personally watched closely some kids from broken homes and seen kids with negligent parents, I can't stop myself from saying these things. Purely my pov. No offense to anyone.

Absolutely Agree T. If you remember we all bashed Anuj when he brought up adoption. But then Anupama relented and again when he asked her later she said yes. So, once you have said yes you can't backtrack now

Maybe Anupamaa just can't bring herself to admit that she doesn't or can't love CA the way she loves her other kids. It would be a question mark on her status as a mother as well as an acknowledgement that she is not perfect. Considering how proud she is of being a mother, it's ridiculous that her husband has to explain to her repeatedly what their kid CA needs from her.
She wouldn't have thought twice before paying attention to her grown up kids, even when they don't ask for it. The parallel with Paakhi's dance competition was deliberately added in this track. Anuj wasn't around then but someone else in the family can point it out to her.
