Tags are lost when a draft is saved. So, I only add tags when I'm ready to post.

Could this explain the problem that you encountered?

The NOCOPY tag doesn't guarantee our works' safety. Someone on WattPad has been stealing a whole lot of stories from IF and posting there as her own. 🤔

Even in the FF section, sometimes I notice people posting stuff word to word from the chapters. I always chalked it out to people typing out the whole thing, but if the no copy and this FF section no copy features have similar mechanism, toh maybe it needs to be looked into.

Yes, this happens with me too. Tags just randomly stop working.

Sometimes I lose my ability to tag anywhere, and sometimes it's just on particular threads. It's quite bothersome

Perhaps you're referring to my comments listing typos and suggesting how to break up a run-on sentence.

I can't get around the NO COPY, so I just retype everything. It's not more difficult than typing up a DNA sequence of 20,000 letters.

There's apparently a way to break the code easily and copy anything. I remember reading about it 7 years ago or so. I had several of my CID stories stolen and posted on Wattapad. That's when I deleted them all off IF.

Nocopy isn't foolproof it seems.

As suggested earlier, if someone copies your story you can always report the same or send DMCA and the site will have to remove it if we can show it was published by us in the first place.

I would not recommend removing your own stories from the platform cause its actually more like losing the right to even claim ownership to those stories.

If anyone has a better solution that they have came across do share we can of course explore that option.

I dont think the tagging issue is related to net speed, because I have fast broadband and sometimes I cant tag people in one thread but at the same time I can tag in another one.
