We used to look forward to every new episode, every Wednesday. KTK definitely had us hooked. We were so invested in Shamsher and Mehak and where life would take them. I feel so weird that its the last episode this week and I'm no way looking forward to it after whats happened. This is a first in the journey of KTK! 💔

I get this weird feeling in my stomach every time i watch this. 💔 I mean look at those visuals playing to those lyrics. Its just so sad. And it fits Shamsher so perfectly. Like literally what he feels for Mehak at this point in time.

Danish did the same during Ishq Hai. I think he played bhula dena mujhe in one of the farwell stories? And even we had been thinking of the possibilities of Shahzaib committing suicide cuz he could not live without Isra. And to our defence the writer too mentioned that Shahzaib was to die in the end but the channel/producers git it changed. So we were bang on with catching the vibe just right. So yeah.. i thought he was doing the same the last week. But if you read his caption.. his mention of keep my family in your prayers .. gave a weird feeling.. like a more serious feeling. I had this thought that Shamsher might actually be dying in the episode that night. The comments too started echoing the same sentiments. But still i quickly brushed it aside .. still expecting a happy ending.. 🤪

Now that the episode has aired.. i have a question.

When Mehak breaks the news to Babasaab that Shamsher and her are gonna become parents, Babasaab was stunned. But it didn't seem like he hated it. It was more like a jhatka. I think in that moment he was going through a lot of mixed emotions all at the same time.

The moment Dara called up to inform him that shamsher became a victim of his plotting to murder Mehak.. i feel Baba saab's downfall, realisation, punishment, change, all started right there..

So is it correct to assume, had Shamsher survived, he was gonna accept the baby infact happily? Cuz Shamsher was already on the death bed, and in such times to hear that his son was gonna become a father.. the baby will become even more precious..

So what i feel is, if not for Shamsher's death track, Babasaab might have not been accepting of the baby and would have actually seen him as a "humare khoon mein gandi khoon ki milawat".. but the moment Shamsher, his own own, was battling on the death bed, Shamsher's khoon became more dear to him..

On top of that, Dara for some reason didn't give him a waris .. with a wife like Farwa who can blame him though 😆.. so hearing him become a grandpa for the first time too would have changed his stance on this.. Babasaab thinks a lot of things. But when these things happen for real, only then he comes to realise they all were merely in his head. So to actually hear this news, would have made him feel things he had not expected to feel.

We have followed this show from the time it was announced. Before coming here on the KTK threads when the show started, we used to be on Danish Threads.. 13 threads humne yehi sab discuss kiya hai 😆

The script was pretty much locked and only then they started shooting. It was always bound to be a tragic love story. A story with a lot of tragedies.

Dur e said this herself in an interview. The date is Aug 2021 same time when the shooting had just begun.

Dur e revealed this was a story inspired by real events that took place in the interiors. She actually revealed that Mehak aaj bhi zinda hai. ( We were so pissed at her back then, cuz it was a give away, lol, and it had only been 3 episodes of KTK that had aired) So when this interview went on to air, we already knew that if they were gonna follow the ending of the real story then Shamsher would die and Mehak would go on to live (with a child, like it usually happens) ..and if you observe she elaborates a lot more.. but they have edited it out.

Emmad, the guy who plays Shahmeer too had said that the writer has kept the ending close to what actually happened.

We had information in bits and pieces of the actual story. This was mainly the producer's idea. The writer then took the main characters (The guy's name was sheheryar, ary even released promos with that name, but for some reasons it was changed to Shamsher) and main story line.. went on to add characters, plots, and made it filmy/fantasy/masala.. in the actual one, Shamsher fell in love with mehak, some stuff happened.. he was made to believe that she died.. he abducted and married her.. father was a feudal lord, father and son had a showdown, nobody could interfere in this matter, it was in the interiors, mehak' family was helpless.. etc etc..

They copied Drama Tahir e lahoti where fahad mustafa's character died but sunita lived rest of her life by being her widower.

But in tahir e lahoti, fahad was a rascal, he took much time in transformation while shamsher was a spoiled brat. He completely changed himself and left everything for mehek. He deserved happiness.

Is this what happened in Faysal Qureshi's Muqaddar as well?

Basically, people hated Shamsher when he was evil af. Forgave him and loved him when they saw his redemption and the extent to which he went for his Mohabbat. I would say, as far as the audience is concerned, its fair enough, cuz for them, KTK as a drama was always a filmy/Fantasy experience.

Shamsher deserved happiness for his remorse. Baba Saab deserved punishment for the evil deeds he committed and taking lives of 2 people. Shamsher mistake was not bigger than baba Saab deeds. Still the makers didn't allow Shamsher to live his life. That is tooo sadistic part of them.

Turning Shamsher into a good person and then killing him makes no sense. I am still in grief of seeing Shamsher dying.

Mere Humsafar used to trend #1 in India. In fact multiple countries.

KAM 3 ka i have no idea. Us time kya hota tha.
