Like my grandfather loves my grandmother more.as she is 12 yrs younger to him ..and secondly she is second wife of my grandfather...so she used to tell how she committed so many mistakes and my grandfather never scolded or shouted on her instead he was ready with solutions..(his first wife died early..)

@bold- I guess she never expected Dev to agree to all this. He had already said no and she didn't know what Abhi and Chitra were doing behind her back in trying to convince Dev. When he said yes she really looked shocked even tried to reason with him two times. She definitely felt something wrong with this relationship but couldn't point out what. She sensed Dev wasn't happy but he himself kept stubbornly denying it. Only when she saw the letter she got the solid reason that Dev was not happy at all. And uss moment mein she did what she had to stop the engagement. She knew Dev himself would never back out so she made it a choice between her and Amba because she knew he would never choose anyone over her. What she did might be harsh but if she hadn't stopped the engagement aage aur problem hoti. Just for the fear of embarrassment she couldn't let Dev get into an unwanted marriage. As she said today she understands Amba is hurt but ot would have been more wrong if she had let engagement happen as no one would have been happy in the marriage in the long run.

Agree regarding Dev's actions. Its fine that he loves his family but he definitely needs to draw a line. Pyar karta hai iska matlab yeh nahi ki kuch bhi karlega. His unnecessary sacrifices can really be counter productive for himself as well as his beloved family

Koi na, seekh jayega dheere dheere humaara Dev...... Aadat nahin hai usse apne baare mein sochne ki, aur itne saalon baad aadat badalna thoda mushkil hota hai...... Like Telly mentioned about survivor syndrome in one of the posts....... Aaj kamse kam bola toh ki "Chitra ki khusi ke saamne maine apni khusi nahin dekhi"...... For me that's already a step in the right direction.......

Dev Amba ke liye guldaste diye : that was his peace offering. Initially when he chose a bouquet without red and pink, I was worried he would give it to Vidhi.

Vidhi ko reality kee aayina dikha di : Yes, that's his sachchai! The bitter truth of life!...... where romance wears away after a few years. I salute to Dev for being so honest to Vidhi who is genuinely naïve and can get hurt in the process

isskite gulab nahi diya , samaj kee kaante dikhaye : That's being true support of your partner, making him aware what lies on road ahead..... That's why the song lines fit perfectly
