I remember reading politicians from opposition had mocked Nehru over 1962 war and still mock him and INC for it.

Was that not insult of Indian army?

Why nationalism is selective?

Galwan issue is a reality and there have been lot of reports and analysis about it from defense experts too who are apolitical and belong to India.

Someone bragging how we can take PoK, did deserve to be trolled.

However Richa has been a fool to write such a tweet from her official ID. She is not some anonymous IT cell troll. She should know her words can be used against her and also by inimical nations and their media. Sections of Pakistani media were quick to latch on to her tweet.

Celebs should try and avoid reacting to everything in public. It can backfire.

I am not against criticism of armed forces though. And I do not think army can be insulted or demoralised so easily by just a tweet. They are made of stronger stuff.

I hate current trend of dragging army in political debates and politicization of army or veterans talking too polarised stuff on social media or TV.

Forget Nehru....just 5 months ago these same accounts were trolling the army for posting a picture of an Iftar party. The Indian army replied back with all their officers doing Nawaz. 🤣🤣🤣

The Army is irreligious, apolitical & unbiased. I'm not sure why this army guy felt the need to back the comments of a 2 Rs Politician.

people dont mock the army for the 1962 debacle. They mock the politicians, nehru especially. That's the difference you apparently didn't get.😉

as far as the Indian army goes, it has generally always conducted itself honorably, which is why it is mostly held in high regard (even if by not everyone here or on twitter). Unlike the pak army, it has not interfered in politics, it has not carried out mass genocide (as in 71), it has not started wars, it has not had a policy of sneaking into and grabbing territory or sending in terrorists, and it has not gotten a bloody nose trying to attack others. Our posture is generally defensive. We have never started wars, but we have finished them. Even at galwan, after the initial losses, we held our own against a country with an economy 5 times ours, with 3 times our annual defense expenditure. It is to the army's fighting skill. And to Modi's credit, he has backed up tough diplomacy there with infrastructure building on an emergency basis, something the INC neglected to do for eons.

after all that, it is rather shameful to see people like richa chadha display her trigger-ready readiness to mock the Indian army, and people ready to jump to her defense. Even she has apologized, but her chelas cant do that, can they?😉

As far as i am concerned, our army being "irreligious, apolitical & unbiased" are all good things.

but here's the point. Even if it was the same accounts, that does not mean the army should be mocked. Their doing it was wrong, and richa chadha doing it is wrong. That should be simple enough to grasp, no? So how if you dont try to deflect from richa chadha's shameful tweet? Her shameful tweet is in no way excused by other idiots tweeting idiotic stuff.

Call me a sadist, I really don’t care but kabhi kabhi khushi hoti hai to watch the sad sad state Bollywood is in right now. Where so called established actors fail to hit even 1cr on opening days. Of course barely anyone spoke up against Richa. These fools will insult those very people that are the sole reason they sleep safely at night.
