Basit and Ayesha have most definitely not consummated their marriage and in fact, from the chaste way they were lying in bed in the last episode, they have definitely not made out either. I like the fact that they are taking things slow and I think the next episode will be when they finally take things to the next level.

I love how you try to figure out when certain feelings were born in Basit's heart. It made me think of what Mr. Darcy had told Elizabeth when she asked him when he fell in love with her so I dug up the quote...

"'I cannot fix on the hour, or the spot, or the look, or the words, which laid the foundation. It is too long ago. I was in the middle before I knew that I had begun."

And yess, I agree with you as to around which time these feelings must have taken root in his heart. And that is the beauty of the early part of this drama where they showed these small moments that led to the growth of their love for each other.

Anyhow, you may be right about the consummation. However, since this is a Pak drama, I thought they leave it to the audience to figure it out. The morning love call, Basit calling Ayesha “Mrs.” and her blushing in return had a dreamy feel to it which is why I assumed that they may have consummated or at least made out. The next episode for sure will take things up a notch and I hope Soha doesn’t create any more misunderstandings between Ayet, even if she tries I want Ayesha to play smart this time and stay confident.

Also Mr. Darcy’s quote is adorable and so fitting on Basit Sometimes I like to go back and watch the earlier episodes to see Basit’s character growth which has been beautiful ❤️

haha!! At one point, I was telling Rishu that we could do a frame-by-frame discussion/analysis of the show, but lately the editing has been so shoddy, I am feeling a bit miffed to be honest. Scenes seem to be missing since there are things referred in the dialogues which are absent in the actual episodes.

Btw did you notice, in the last episode, they cut short the scene where Basit wears the shirt gifted to him by Ayesha. FK had shared the rough cut on his insta and that smile at the end was everything! These things are bothering me at a certain level.

True what you say about the Mrs. Basit, but then the fact that they were lying with such a distance between them in the last bedroom scene of ep 26 doesn't make sense. I am happy to think that it will happen after he wines and dines her, and prepares that grand suhaag raat type surprise for her. After all, if we have said it once, we have said it a hundred times, he is yet to gift Ayesha her muh dikhayi gift! 😆

Basit could very well be a version of Mr. Darcy, he has both the arrogance and the goodness. So true about the joy this going to and fro brings. Especially, since you get to see this change.

Btw the way Basit told Ayesha, "Ssh, shut up." was so hot, in my opinion.

Also when she was in the room and he called Zulfi to put her bag in the closet...she was trying to say no, and he just motioned her to not say anything...I found both these instances so hot and heartwarming at the same time. He really will not brook anything that might take Ayesha away from him. So I really do hope that he will handle Soha properly and not let Ayesha agonise over this unsavoury development.

Suddenly thought of something...that moment right before they enter the house (ep 26) when Ayesha asks Basit, what do you think? You will speak to me this way and I will be silenced?...and Basit looks at her lips before meeting her eyes and Ayesha gulps and looks at his lips before looking into his eyes...was that an unvoiced statement from Basit that I could silence you in other ways (as in a kiss)???

I knowwww...I felt it was hot, whatever they had going on between them in that scene. But only now it hit me that of course, he was telling her, do you want me to kiss you here in front of the servants!?! (public display of affection being such a big taboo in any South Asian culture)

I thought the very same thing with regard to how they look glanced at each other’s lips not no subtly. However, I initially felt that this action demonstrated their attraction for each other even in times of anger. But you are so right!!! It definitely can definitely be interpreted as an unvoiced statement from Basit that he could silence her in other ways 😉

I'm shocked cause that's pretty much what I wrote before seeing the tag 🤣 and yes I think Basit had this thought on the back of his head... His eyes were so intense that you could actually tell he thought of this and I also liked the fact that Ayesha reacted in the exact same way, it was like she couldn't resist anymore and at the same time she wanted to give him a sign that he wasn't the only one who had missed her and wanted her so badly... Thankfully, Basit got the message and dragged her back home, to where she really belongs 😍

PS I've rewatched this and the date scene so many times that I kinda remember the dialogues... somebody help meeee 😂😭
