maximum number of points Babar and his side can now reach is six. So if they beat South Africa then essentially the situation will be this:

One of India and South Africa must drop points in their final games to give Pakistan a chance.

A loss for either side - or a no result for South Africa - would then give Pakistan the opportunity to snatch a top-two spot with a win over Bangladesh.

Yes, they will!

If Pak wins today....they'll have a fair chance to go to semis

The umpires have decided to call for the covers with the drizzle getting heavier. DLS par score at this stage is 84. It was that over from Shadab Khan that got Pakistan in front, getting rid of both Bavuma and Markram who were going well. But there's still some time to go before overs start getting reduced, and the drizzle already seems to have gotten lighter. Ground staff are waiting around the covers.

DLS par score 85 after 9 means Southafrica behind

Pakistan okayed but too early to say about semi birth

There's a big cheer across the ground as the covers are taken off. Just the pitch cover remains in place right now. It hasn't stopped raining completely, but it's very light and it might be good enough for the umpires.

Pakistan have no chance for semi unless South Africa vs Netherland game wash out with no results

Pakistan 2 points now they will beat SA & BD so ends with 6 point

South Africa 5 points now if they beat Netherland they will ends 7 points

India 6 points now after victory vs Zimbabwe ends with 8 points

So SA & india will Qualify for semi than pakistan with 6 point and low NRR.
