Also Qudsia is petty and will not forgive Basit for insulting her. That is more significant to her than anything he did with Ayesha.

I'm shocked not only because Yawar is richer than Basit as I had totally forgotten about that particular scene, but I'm also shocked about how greedy Qudsia is... A person needs to have a red-line but this woman has crossed every boundary.... Selling her daughters at the highest possible price and preventing Ayesha from being finally happy.... She doesn't have any sense of dignity or whatsoever....

True. Initially I spent a lot of time and energy trying to understand Qudsia, try and decipher why she was this petty and selfish. She had raised her daughters without an independent financial income, she had to raise them in a society hostile to women living on their own without a man in the family. However, there is a point where your actions can no longer be excused because of your sufferings in the past. Her attitude towards her daughters, the callous heartlessness, her indifference to their pain, her constant prioritizing of her own needs, interests, etc over theirs made me lose all patience with her. A narrow-minded, self-centred, cold woman she is.
