I have had a reformation of sorts regarding Ramayan.

It depends on whether one considers Ram as God or a human with extraordinary powers.

Uttaarkaand is the section where Ram comes across as a human.... if he was a God... he could have escaped the trial or would have subjected himself instead of Sita.

Human Ram makes mistakes, regrets and lives in repentance.

As a child, I subscribed to God Ram... as a grown up woman and now a mother I subscribe to Human Ram ❤️.

Sorry if this offends anyone... it's my personal view for the story.

Agree!

I mentioned this a while ago in thread.

Girl n woman in me resented Ram for long time as god. Till recently couple of years back I came across beautiful explanations.

Ram was good in human form. His life was lesson, what he did to Sita is not benchmark behavior but wrong behavior n shows how a man can falter when become too idealistic. that is learning.

Plus a beautiful explanation on Ram’s loyalty towards Sita. Took my heart away. Never thought from that perspective either. He was a king, when they could all have many wives he went lengths to search for Sita n later refused to remarry. That shows his love for her n shows he took decision as idealistic king(though wrong) but he never stop loving her.

Also I read that in Ramayana there is a shlok where Sita beautifully explains in Agnipariksha how Ram has faltered as husband - So those are teachings I now realized.

All mythological stories are meant to teach way of living - learn good and bad both from mistakes of those characters. Not worship n do everything they did.

How does this fit into the story without degrading the character of Sai?

This track is not about Sai. It's more about Virat and the kids.

But CVs are habituated to make it as a one - character show time and again thus making it toxic. If they focus more on V's growth and shortcomings, Sai ki butchering nahi hogi.

Cmn to how can they come together - my understanding and expectation is they will work together as parents. I don't see Sairat coming back together as a couple in any sense. If CVs show this then sure the characters are butchered.

But even I liked how they used uttarkaand in Ghum.

Ram Leela generally ends at Ravan Dahan...

By taking Saavi Vinu as Lav Kush it's a nice allegory to the current track...

Ram/V is unaware of the birth of his children. He will meet them now.

He has wronged Sita/Sai. She has had enough trials by fire.

And it's their kids who ask him pointed questions about disowning their mother. 👏

Have said this multiple times... Saavi Vinu are super smart... they would ask questions to V and he will have to answer. Sai can just listen...

His transformation has to happen through kids... 👍🏼

Also.. Ghum is not Ramayan... neither is V Ram or Sai a Sita... we can keep the Sita not going back to Ram theory away.

And this Ram has established Raavan in the household. Raavan dahan is yet to happen 🤣

Jags as Valmiki is a brilliant interpretation though 👍🏼

Loved this!

V ka major wakeup call bacche hi honge.

He has gone beyond everything.

And yeah I do see Jags as Valmiki if he's showing up soon as claimed. Main BTS nahi dekhti 😂

Like Luv Kush knew about their father, is it possible that kids know about their real parents before anyone?

Vinu hugging Sai and V together plus today's uttarakhand does signify that.

The question is how will they know.

I'm counting on Jags to spill the beans to Savi 😂

Mil gaye Valmiki 😄

I had said earlier .. the only role suiting jagtap is valmiki .. he was a daku .. anguli maal.. and later redeemed himself and wrote Ramayana.. and was a part of Luv kush journey .. as Sita Maiyya had stayed near about to his ashram .. .. Waise Virat suits the role Of Raja Bali .. Infact lord Rama had admonished both Bali abd Sugriva about their interchangeabling wives . And called it immoral mentality .. Twitter Is on fire for casting Bhabhi lover . 3 times married Virat as maryada Purshottam .. Sri. Ram .. and this time .. Sita cannot whitewash him like she did on holi .,

We should take overall gist and circumstances from this skit. Like 2 kids, not knowing the father and meeting later.

Can't expect them to follow the characters. He will be loyal to P only, till she relieves him herself.

I feel Lord Rama set an example .. a tough test ito society to stay chaste .. .. stay in your maryada .. this is specifically he had seen hie Bali , sugriva had married and remarried the same woman without any repercussions.. there are references where he found it very unappealing..I cannot say where but yes he did talk to hanuman about it

He knew his wife was blameless .. as a man he should have supported his wife .. but as a king he had to be fair to all his subjects ..and he suffered too .

Virat in this story is not Lord Rama at all .. he’s a hypocrite.. and no amount of white washing by Sai can make him one .. though yes savi , Vinayak are like Luv kush particularly Savi .. and Sai has faced similar tribulations
