I was wondering, what was the need to reintroduce Soha? Even if she had to come back, why did they go overboard with Basit being all chummy with her?

Basit has since the beginning is shown to be vary if women to the point of avoiding them. He calls them “musibat”. Moreover, he handles a major business, should have developed the ability to read people, understand their intent and get out of uncomfortable situations. Add to that his experience with his parents adding to his awareness of how extra attention bestowed on a person of the opposite sex outside of marriage could go very wrong-

how could somebody like that entertain Soha, not understand her motives with her increasing interest in his life, the sudden need to hang around him, even attend a public event with him especially in the light of how his own wife is hurt by his actions, doesn’t live with him anymore and there is urgent need to repair the relationship.

Help me understand Basit’s perspective please, Twerps.

You know I could relate to some of Ayesha’s past actions because I felt they were coming from a place of embarrassment, naivety and inexperience in life. However, I fail to understand Basit at the moment.

Basit is acting ridiculous bas. There is no justification to it.. the character butchering ..the way thy butchered ayesha and fahad..

Oh soha is also butchered..I thot chalo there is one mature self respecting woman here but no 😆 only bano is left..qudsia and Zoya are consistent , unka sirf ab redemption hoga happy ending mei...I feel sad that there is nobody who talks logic here..it went away with sadia. Kuch bhi bakwas karte hai sab and ayet don't talk only . If they talk they do all idhar udhar ki baatein and not the topic which needs attention. Terrible viewing experience. I guess they will end the show in 2-3 epis with happy ending

Totally agree with your points. Basit being so close to Soha and discussing with her about his personal matters seems a bit out of character. Not to mention inviting her to the wedding. It's actually unfair to Ayesha because he was so suspicious and jealous of her friendship with Fahad to the extent of ditching her but he's doing the exact same thing with Soha. Also, Soha's presence in Basit’s has a direct mpact on Ayesha's already low self-esteem and lack of trust towards Basit.

Oh my goodness! Posting this was just sooo difficult! First time the internet went and I lost the entire post and then after that phone call after phone call! Anyway here goes...

Cappa, this is a very very interesting point to consider. You know how weird I found that whole mantra of "purane dost"/"great friend" that Soha was being framed by so I was thinking on this. I think this behaviour of Basit's is a crucial part of his character growth and this is how I understand the purpose of this track.

So Basit has always been wary of/prejudiced against women. He has actively kept himself away from forming personal relationships with women. However at this point after finding out the truth about the why and the what of Ayesha's lying to him, Basit is actually reconsidering his previously held beliefs and prejudices about women. And this is a prejudice that only affected how he saw women within the domain of forming emotional and personal relationships. As an employer we have seen him be a fair one who treats his female employees with the same respect as he treats his male staff. Anyway, so now Basit is actively rethinking the way he has thought about women. It is important that now he doesn't see Fahad and Ayesha sitting together in a room as something worth being angry about. So his views have shifted. So from being a man who had decided to never trust a woman as a personal confidante or a friend leave alone a wife, he is now in a state where his guilt for the way he behaved with Ayesha has pushed him to the other end of the spectrum. So now he is trying to become open to the idea of trusting a woman by treating her as a friend. His decision to see Soha as a friend is partly because of this and partly of course because since Fahad and Ayesha are both no longer around him, Basit is lonely. In ep 24 things haven't progressed so far. Till ep 24 he has been treating Soha with politeness but even the very fact that now he is being polite to her instead of pushing her away or treating her with cool formality is because he now feels he shouldn't go around in life pushing women away from him. But Soha isn't just a good friend and isn't there with selfless good will.

Here another thing about Basit's experience with friends is worth considering. Basit has been very fortunate to have found a friend like Fahad and a wife like Ayesha who have his interests in their hearts to the extent where he could trust them with his eyes closed. Even with Sadia he could tell her his troubles in whatever twisted form and she too had only his interest in her heart. But because he had them, he never truly valued them. He ha to realise that is not how relationships work all the time. Some people stand by us while others betray or manipulate us. We learn the hard way until we can recognise our friends from those who aren't our friends. Basit believing earlier that all women would betray him had decided to isolate himself. While that protected him, it also didn't teach him discernment. Now after his experience with Ayesha he has decided that he was wrong in what he believed in earlier. But even that is not true. While not all women are selfish and heartless, neither are all women selfless and generous hearted. By realising that he has been manipulated by Soha, Basit will learn to be discerning in personal relationships. He will learn to value someone like Ayesha and realise how fortunate he is to find a friend like Fahad or a wife like Ayesha. It is not that Ayesha is unique but it is also true that her qualities are hard to come by irrespective of gender.

Also the very fact that Basit is being played by Soha like this is because of some other things that have happened. For the first time in his life Basit has decided to put his heart above his mind. Again Fahad and Ayesha are behind this change. Fahad had told him at the hospital that at times for the sake of personal relationships people should give more importance to their heart that their mind. Ayesha in their last argument said his materialistic mind could only view relationships in terms of profit and loss. And so now Basit who is trying to process all these things along with his growing feelings for Ayesha has decided to place his heart over his mind. Even when proposing to Ayesha he had been thinking with his mind and he had recognised that he needed to change his strategy in order to make Ayesha accept him. So he had decided to be honest with her. But that was still when his heart was protected. Now he is trying to put himself out there where he can be hurt, and we find the very ironic situation where he tells Ayesha that one shouldn't think of profit and loss when it comes to relationships.

Soha has come into his life at this moment when he is actually trying to change the way he thinks of relationships. So the Basit who had treated all relationships with cynicism (even with Fahad he had expected him to betray him to Soha by revealing Basit's true reasons for proposing marriage) is now trying to view relationships at face value.

Soooo what Soha is is basically a vaccine for Basit. By understanding that not all relationships can be taken at face value just as not all relationships should be treated with cynicism, Basit will gain the immunity that will put an end to his status as a hermit.🤡

Hello guys! So I still haven't properly watched the episode but I was so curious to get a glimpse of what's happening that I watched some of the important scenes here and there even without subs. And of course the promo.....OMG.... It looked so good and angsty that got me excited for the upcoming episode 😍🔥 Some thoughts about yesterday's episode; First of all, the fact Ayesha finally understood what kind of mother she has and shouted at her, I loved that. I hope Qudsia will somehow change her tactics after Ayesha's burst. (Shout out to the writers get her a rich husband so that she leaves her daughters alone already) 🤣 What I thoroughly enjoyed is Basit finally taking drastic steps towards Ayesha! The fact that he calls her over and over and tries to bring her back in his own subtle way without becoming toxic or annoying is such a treat to watch.❤️ On the other hand, I can't stand Basit being so close to Soha....I just don't get it... When Ayesha became friends with Fahad and created this beautiful bond he got all jealous and even threw his wife out of the house but he can be all comfortable around his ex and even attending the wedding with her🤔 Man get a glimpse already...She's trying to snatch you away 😈So sad that Fahad and Bano is not happening... I mean Bano, one of the show's best and most sensible characters doesn't get a chance to be happy with a man who would give her all the love, attention and respect she deserves.... Why don't you take ideas from this forum dear writers? 😒 Lastly, Zoya should grow up and stop being as selfish as her mother. Amir is indeed a good guy who loves her a lot to the point of bringing her ketchup to fix her mood 😂 So she should be able to understand his value and stop sabotaging her own marriage. All in all, the episode looks wonderful and the promo is even better! 😍👌

Word! 👍🏼

And yess, yesterday amidst the general relief after watching the episode and the promo I forgot to make a hullabullooo about this but seriously the fact that Fahad just so casually dropped the notice of his wedding was so unexpected! I am seriously disappointed that ship isn't sailing. Hopefully they will have some other track for Bano. That woman I want to see loved.

Bano's scene with Basit was cute. Basit through it all was focused solely on the fact that this whole thing of the money being given by him to her mother should not be found out by Ayesha. I liked that Bano actually had this honest conversation with Basit.

Soha's sudden promotion to being a "great friend" of Basit's is something I cannot understand. Like how?? But of course she is trying to be all friendly with Basit and very smoothly inserting herself into his life. Am glad the promo came when it did otherwise would have spent the week hating this idiocy of Basit where his being polite is leading him down this path with Soha.

Fahad dropping the wedding bomb! Like I really wasn't expecting this but unfortunately, FaNo was doomed from the start I suppose. Two well-adjusted people cannot come together in dramas.

Fahad and Ayesha's phone conversation was good. It was good to hear Ayesha speaking about her feelings. She finally admitted that she wants to hear those words of love, trust, and commitment from Basit. And again she revealed her feelings of inadequacy as Basit's partner.

Bano and Ayesha fighting over the phone was one of those uniquely Habs things and was just the right touch of comic amidst the otherwise pretty angsty episode. Basit and Ayesha's phone conversation I enjoyed. From the man who claimed to not like "gehre rishte" to the husband who is complaining to his wife for not calling him, for forgetting him, for not caring about his well-being This show has actually shown us each step of this transformation and I am loving this new Basit.

Soha is truly dancing around Basit. The way she so smoothly arranged it so that they would go to the wedding together was simply 🤬 But anyway, Basit then calling Ayesha shows he is worried about how Ayesha would go and also perhaps wishes to take her to the wedding. But of course Qudsia date-blocked him on that one. His frustration at not being able to reach her was so beautiful to watch. The way he punches the bench towards the end! ❤️

A special word for Bano. Truly I love this woman. The way she talks in a roundabout way about Basit so as to get Ayesha to understand that Basit is worried about Ayesha, that he is missing her, concerned for her And then the way she also tries to make Ayesha feel jealous by bringing up Soha. And finally getting Ayesha to talk to Basit! This girl is truly the sister we all want to have. Then with Zoya too she tries to teach her restraint, correct her in the way she is behaving.

What I am not enjoying this total descent into evil sister mode of Zoya. I mean she was always slightly jealous of Ayesha but this is too much that she is actually enjoying the fact that Ayesha's marriage is on the verge of breaking up. I mean her so-called concern was obviously just a way to show her own triumph.

Anyway apart from Soha and Zoya, everything was pretty positive in this episode. especially the teaser which has brought us the sight of an oasis in this desert we have been trudging through over the past so many weeks!

Thank you twerps for the update 🤗

From the update I feel it is less frustrating, so I can give it a watch 😆

Time to watch my hot munda

Fahad's marriage came as shocker, we all were pretty sure about his track with bano..

I hope by the end they show someone for bano too.. girl deserves the happiness..
