The way the auditions were happening I really thought I would enjoy the show but honestly two weeks down the line not really enjoying the show much. Everyone sounds very average when compared to the previous season plus it's so tiring to see the same guests and same judges over and over again. Getting pretty repetitive.

On the other hand, Lil Champs has turned out to be FANTASTIC!! The kids are gems. Calling them geniuses would be an understatement, the talent this time is unbelievable. All the kids sound like grownups their voice is so trained! The classical singers are great as usual but even the ones with contemporary voice textures are brilliant. A girl came who did yoodelling and honestly I loved it even more than both Shanmukhpriya and Anushka. Another girl sang Senorita and did opera, so freaking amazing. Absolutely blown by the talent. I don't see a forum yet for the show so thought of sharing here incase anyone's interested. Plus till now doesn't look like there's any drama. The emotional bits are also bare minimum and focussing more on auditions. Please let me know if the forum opens soon.

I missed yesterdays episode, and honestly this season so far is not compelling me to catch missed episodes online.

My review for todays episode:

1. Shagun - he had lovely numbers to sing, and honestly he has a good voice but he can’t sing all genres and these songs weren’t for him. He would be able to sing soft romantic Melodys well. Foot tapping numbers aren’t for him. He didn’t do justice to the songs today.

2. Bidipta - she sang well, she’s got a a very sweet voice and I can’t see her singing dance numbers or seductive sounding songs. Don’t think she’ll go far. But today she was good.

3. Rishi - he was good. Whatever episodes I’ve watched, he’s sung well. I see him in the top 5.

4. Sonakshi - she was fantastic!! Another sure shot top 5 for me.

5. Sanchari - I haven’t heard the song before so can’t compare, but I liked what I heard.

6. Kavya - the throw in her voice is just not good enough. To me she’s clearly brought in to add a romantic angle. At best she’s an above average singer but not Indian Idol material.

7. Vineet - he was very good, but then that’s expected out of him. He’s sticking to melodious tracks, but we all know he can sing other genres too. I wish he’d sing a variety of genres. I still think he shouldn’t be on the show, but what to do!

I am loving the auditions so far the kids are so good this time it's all fresh so far I have only seen one contestant from another reality show the girl Rafa I think who sang Senorita got direct entry in top 12. I was gonna come to @altgr about this would you be able to do something about this? It would be great and those who haven't watch the little champs I would recommend to watch if you just focus on talents and surprisingly so far not much drama and bit of emotional story so far so good.

Are the first round auditions over?

There is generally good amount of fresh talent in kids shows in comparison to adult shows.

How's the talent in Li'l Champs compared to Superstar Singer 2?

Looks like this season of Li'l Champs may fare better than Indian Idol. Let's see.

No, they should have more next week.

The talent is very good though it is hard to predict what happens later. Children often have a great and well rehearsed set of initial songs. The trouble starts when they are given new songs. But all those chosen initially have good skills.

Compared to SS2, I find the Lil Champs lot much better at this stage. Also, the OTT is within acceptable limits and Neeti is good with kids.

Other than Rafa (who auditioned for SS2 but was not shortlisted, she may also have been in the Star TV kids show) all faces are new to me.

Overall the vibes are very good plus there are some new faces like Rupali Jagga and Ankush Bhardwaj in the jury benches.

I suggest you watch the show on Zee5 and decide for yourself.
